Respectful Conversations about bridging cultural divides

PRESCOTT – Learn how we can all participate in respectful community conversations concerning the tough issues that often divide friends and neighbors.

Today, we seem to live in a society where there are several hot button opinions that people have trouble discussing calmly. Some of those issues relate to differences in religion, national origin, race, gender, culture, and immigration. Respectful Conversations are free speech venues designed not to change minds, but to soften hearts. It offers meaningful engagement and a stronger Prescott.

Join others in our community from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Prescott Middle School Cafeteria (1220 St Croix St.) A light lunch will start the day and then participants will follow a specifically designed process for listening and exchanging information.

This “Voices of the Confluence—seventh in a series,” session is free. Advance registration is required at this link: http: mnchurches.org/what-we-do/respectful-conversations/register.

This program is sponsored by Building an All-Inclusive Community, Prescott Community Education, Friends of Freedom Park, Prescott Historical Society, and made possible by a Catalyst grant from the Wisconsin United Church of Christ.
