RIVER FALLS – River Falls Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 7:08 a.m. Wednesday, June 28 at 1695 Valley Quail Drive in River Falls.
According to a news release from Fire Chief Steven Cash, the first unit arrived in 3 minutes, 9 seconds from the initial dispatch. A small working fire was located in the attic space above the garage. Fire crews used a thermal imaging camera to isolate the fire’s location. They opened the wall and extinguished it quickly, minimizing damage to the structure.
“The homeowner was home at the time of the fire, observed the smoke and called 911,” Cash said.
The homeowner is listed as Nick Lane. No one was injured in the fire. Crews cleared the scene at 8:31 a.m. while fire investigators worked to determine the fire’s cause and origin. The fire’s cause was ruled undetermined.
Seventeen personnel and four apparatus responded to this fire. River Falls Police Department and Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
