RF residential parking zones go into effect Sept. 1

RIVER FALLS – The City of River Falls Residential Parking Ordinance 12.06 goes into effect on Sept.1, 2021 through May 31, 2022 for most residential parking zones. These zones will be enforced from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays.

Zone C in the Residential Parking Zone is in effect from Sept. 1, 2021 through Aug. 31, 2022. Zone C is enforced during the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., also excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. Please visit our www.rfcity.org/parking for more information and a map which reflects the different zones.

New this year, permits will be issued by the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 222 Lewis St. To save time, permits can be obtained by submitting an online application at www.rfcity.org/parking. Proof of residency must be provided with your application. For residents without access to technology, you may pick up an application from City Hall, 222 Lewis St. or the Police Department Lobby, 2815 Prairie Drive. Please mail in the application to City Hall, Attention City Clerk, 222 Lewis St., River Falls, WI 54022. Whether you apply online or by mail, your application will be processed, and your permit will be mailed to you. Please note, we request that all outstanding parking violations be satisfied prior to issuance of a new permit.

This year there will be limited inperson application times at City Hall, 222 Lewis St., on the following dates and times:

•2-4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23

•10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 25

•2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31

•10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 1

•9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 2

•2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8

•10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 9 If you are unable to obtain a permit during the designated times, you may call the City Clerk’s office at 715-425-0900 to make an appointment during normal business hours.
