The River Falls High School Class of 1956 gathered for a reunion Saturday, Sept. 12 at St. Croix Lanes in River Falls.
Here are their reflections:
Has time played a trick on us? Are these 70 years actually over? Why, it was only yesterday that we were graduating seniors. We vividly recall that excitement of our next steps into the big world - the adventures, challenges, joys (and sorrows) that would be part of our future.
We, the class of '56, have stayed in touch with reunions- first every five or 10 years - now annually. We've shared many remembrances, both happy and sad events. The friendships of our class of '56 remain as a special keepsake in our life journey. And we warmly remember the 42 classmates already gone. Perhaps we think (we know) this time has moved quickly! Our horizons have been varied and our fields broad but our time at River Falls High School was a wonderful start to our future. Thank you for being such a special part of our lives, "56 Classmate."
