RIVER FALLS – The River Falls Branch ofAAUWwill hold its annual community book sale for three weeks in October: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, from Oct. 14-30. It will be held at 126 N. Main St., River Falls, the former site of Global Made and next door to Domino’s.

In addition to donations of well-loved but gently used books, this year we are taking complete puzzles and media as well. We cannot use textbooks, out-of-date resource books, condensed books and magazines.

Bring books to Family Fresh and Dick’s Market in River Falls and County Market in Hudson. Donation barrels were set by Sept. 1. Large quantities of books can be dropped off at the sale site 4-6 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays Sept. 1 through Oct. 9.

Except for 2020, this annual event has provided scholarships funds for women students from Chippewa Valley Technical College and University ofWisconsin-River Falls for over 30 years. AAUW looks forward to the continued community support for this meaningful event by both its donation and purchase of books.

Founded in 1881, AAUW has promoted its mission to advance “gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.”
