Roland (Rolly) William Janetski, 79, River Falls found peace on Jan. 2, 2026 at Kinnic Nursing Home. He was born on Dec. 12, 1946 to Roland E. Janetski and Mary Klis in Park Falls, Wis.
Rolly attended high school at St. Procopius Academy near Chicago and received a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He met his wife Kathy while attending college and they married on Sept. 11, 1971. He worked for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue for over 35 years.
Rolly enjoyed bowling, tending to the family vegetable gardens, and listening to and watching the Brewers and Packers games. He served as an usher at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church and was a regular participant at local school and town board meetings.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Marsha (Dave Ghegan) Los Angeles, Calif.; Beth (Mike Watson) Cross Plains, Wis.; and Daniel (Corinne) Southborough, Mass.; grandson, Camden; and stepmother, Judy in Phillips, Wis.
A Celebration of Rolly’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church (211 E. Division St., River Falls.) Visitation will also be on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
