Sanjeev Adonijah Dhawan Jr., age 30, of Prescott (formerly Ellsworth) Wis., died unexpectedly on Dec. 24, 2023, in Minneapolis, Minn. Sanjeev was born on Aug. 17, 1993, in Rochester, Minn. to Sanjeev Dhawan Sr. and Barbara Beth (Florine) Dhawan.
Sanjeev grew up with his sisters in Prescott, Wis., attending Malone Elementary School, and playing little league baseball across from the Prescott Fire Hall. In 2006, the family moved to Ellsworth, Wis., to a small hobby farm. Sanjeev attended Ellsworth Middle School and Ellsworth High School. He loved music and taught himself the electric guitar. He also loved art, books, and video gaming. Sanjeev loved Jesus and was baptized into the Christian faith. He will forever be remembered as the kind and gentle soul that he was.
Sanjeev is survived by his parents, Sanjeev Sr. and Barbara Beth (Florine) Dhawan, his sisters, Evangeline (Steven) Dhawan-Maloney of Minneapolis, Minn., and Victoria Dhawan of Ellsworth, Wis., as well many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sanjeev is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Narendra and Harpal (Kaur) Dhawan, and his maternal grandparents, Clare and Bonnie (Allen) Florine. Sanjeev is also preceded in death by two unborn siblings.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, Dec. 30, at O’Connell Funeral Home in Prescott, Wis. Sanjeev was then laid to rest in Pine Glen Cemetery, where his grandparents are also buried.
