Position: Seventh grade literacy, MMS
Hometown: Durand College attended: UW-Eau Claire, UW-Superior
Hobbies/interests: We love to do all things related to living by a river: Fishing, boating, hiking, kayaking, reading along the banks of the river. We volunteer with various community organizations focused on the outdoors. In addition, we are huge Wisconsin sports fans and try to attend as many games as we can each year. Finally, we like to travel to places we haven’t visited before.
Family: I live in a tiny town called Ella on the banks of the Chippewa River by Tiffany Wildlife Area with my husband Brad and two children, a son who is 15 and a daughter who is 14, and two dogs. We’re excited to have two kids who actively participate in many high school extracurricular activities and keep our family busy.
Why did you choose teaching as your profession? To work alongside students when they discover the joy and excitement that learning, setting goals and working cooperatively with others can bring to their lives. It’s contagious!
