ELLSWORTH – Spring is just around the corner, and what better way to prepare than by propagating your favorite houseplants for the upcoming Plant Swap at the Ellsworth Public Library Makerspace! Mark your calendars for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19 and join fellow plant lovers for a fun and rewarding plant exchange event.
Now is the perfect time to start propagating your houseplants in preparation for the swap. Whether you’re dividing your existing plants or rooting cuttings, you’ll have plenty of time to grow healthy, shareable plants by March. Propagating not only helps your plants thrive, but it also gives you the opportunity to trade with others and diversify your collection!
Bring in your healthy potted plants or loose cuttings to exchange with fellow gardening enthusiasts. Whether you're bringing houseplants, herbs, or flowers, the swap is a fantastic way to refresh your collection and add something new to your home.
For those new to plant propagation or looking for advice, the Makerspace will have resources available to help you learn about the plants you’re receiving in exchange. From care tips to propagation techniques, you’ll leave with the knowledge you need to nurture your new green friends.
This event is free to attend, but participants are encouraged to bring something to trade in order to take part. It’s a great chance to meet others who share your love for plants, and to swap knowledge, tips, and inspiration.
Start propagating now and get ready for a blooming good time at the Ellsworth Public Library Makerspace this March!
