scarves and towels are all done one row at a time.

“About five inches of work can take about an hour, depending on what style I am doing. It can be tedious work but I love it,” said Larson.

The event also featured live music at two stages and food trucks from local vendors including Mariachi Loco and Smokey Treats BBQ. There were also crafts for the children and some activities for community participation.

Art on the Kinni is produced each year by the River Falls Community Art Base (CAB), which is a nonprofit organization that promotes the arts in the River Falls community. To learn more about the organization and other events they sponsor visit riverfallscab.org.


Artist Jenna Wojan, of New Richmond, creates graphic design pieces and adds some extra details by hand as well. She uses Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to create her prints.Photo by Melissa Thorud
