RIVER FALLS – The School District of River Falls (SDRF) received a four star rating (“Exceeds Expectations'') from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction on the 2022-23 state School Report card. This rating places SDRF in the top third of school districts in the state.
In the area of achievement, River Falls ranks higher than 84% of all other school districts in Wisconsin. Individual school report cards indicate all schools in the SDRF meet or exceed expectations.
“There is cause for celebration within our state School Report Card, but also room for growth,” says Nate Schurman, SDRF Director of Academic Services.
The state School Report Card measures student achievement in language arts and math, as well as growth in knowledge of language arts and math from one year to the next. It also tracks performance of the lowest performing students and measures whether students are on track to graduation by examining attendance, graduation rates, and other educational milestones that predict post-secondary success.
The 2022-23 state School Report Card ratings are compiled from data collected over the last three years. “The School District of River Falls is fortunate to be supported by a community of engaged parents, hard-working students, and talented teachers. We are thankful and proud of the many student experiences and opportunities that are not captured in the state School Report Card. Our local report card shows strong evidence of a well-rounded education, which is another indicator of our success,” says Schurman.
