PRESCOTT – I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends. Now on to Christmas tree decorating, cookie making and gift wrapping.
Remember when the schools are closed for holiday vacations, then the Gathering Place is also closed.
Thursday, Dec. 1: “How-to Thursday” for those preregistered to make a holiday tea cup décor piece.
Friday, Dec. 2: Memory Café, 10-11:30 a.m., First National Bank Community Room (1151 Canton St., Prescott).
Tuesday, Dec. 6: Pickleball in the Intermediate School gym at 9 a.m. Programming/ Publicity Committee meeting at 9:30 a.m. At noon is the holiday potluck and entertainment. Bring a dish to pass, your choice, and enjoy time visiting and being entertained.
Wednesday, Dec. 7: Card games, euchre, bridge, etc. from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 8: Guest speaker Jeff Ryan and PHS students will talk about their visits to Lac due Flambeau. Ryan has taken 21 groups to the reservation so far. Come hear about their adventures. Following the speaker, we’ll have Canasta for beginners.
Senior Gathering Place is open to all ages 55 years and older. We are located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. If the school is closed due to inclement weather, Gathering Place will be closed too.
