PRESCOTT We hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July. Summer is officially here!
Remember Gathering Place summer hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays only from 12:30-3:30 p.m. except for a few special events. GP is located at 1220 St Croix St., Door #5.
One such special event is the upcoming wine tasting at Forestville Vines in River Falls at 1 p.m. Tuesday July 19; all are invited even if you are not a member of the Gathering Place. Register at the Gathering Place by Tuesday, July 12. There will be carpooling from the Gathering Place. Meet there at 12:30 on July 19 or you can meet at Forestville Vines, W8101 690th St., River Falls.
Prices on a flight of wine to taste will vary with the number of people attending and whether you taste a 4-wine flight or an 8-wine flight.
Regular weekly Gathering Place events include:
Tuesday, July 12
Walking group which meets at the Gathering Place 9 a.m.
1-3:30 p.m. Games: Dominoes, 5 Crowns and many more to choose from
Wednesday, July 13
Card games (Euchre, Bridge, 500, or your choice) 12:30- 3:30 p.m.
Pickle ball continues this summer, contact Arlene Crane at 651-396-4063 for time, date, and location.
Friday, July 15
Memory Cafe meets 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank, lower level.
