The weather has shifted and winter has given us a glimpse of our first measurable snow. With December around the corner our lives may become a bit more active.
Be sure you include a visit to the Senior Gathering Place. It is located at 1220 St. Croix St. at the Prescott Middle School, Door 5. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 1 is a special event, Memory Cafe located at the First National Bank Community Room from 10-11:30 a.m.
Activities
Thursday, Nov. 30: Our speaker this week is Sarah Nigbor, editor of the Pierce County Journal. She will be speaking to us at 1 p.m. about her responsibilities at the Journal.
Tuesday, Dec. 5: Pickleball will be played at 9 a.m. in the gym at the Prescott Intermediate School on Elm Street. The Programming and Publicity committees will meet at 10:30 a.m., followed by the December potluck at noon with musical entertainment after. We will be entertained by Music Madams from River Falls. Bring a friend and introduce them to the Gathering Place by joining us for lunch and music after.
Wednesday, Dec. 6: An afternoon of cards from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Play Euchre, Bridge or game of your choice.
Thursday, Dec. 7: Art 101 Watercolor Painting with $2 supply fee collected at class.
We hope you can join us for any of the Senior Gathering Place activities. All seniors 55 and older are welcome.
