Senior Gathering Place activities

PRESCOTT – Did you miss it? Last week was winter! Or was it? We still have to get through March! But whether spring comes early or we get more winter snow, we know that the Senior Gathering Place will be abuzz with activities for everyone.

Wednesday, Feb. 21: Join your friends for cards, Euchre, Bridge or game of your choice from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 22: Pickleball starts at 9 a.m. at Prescott Intermediate School (125 Elm St. N.) Then a very special guest will be joining us at 1 p.m. Our speaker is Anastasiia Bundy, a new teacher to the Prescott School District and a native of Ukraine. Bundy will inform you about her life in the Ukraine, why she decided to become a US citizen and how the recent war in Ukraine has had an impact on her family and friends.

Monday, Feb. 26: A new chair yoga program starts. Sign up for six sessions today from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Gathering Place.

Tuesday, Feb. 27: Pickleball starts at 9 a.m. at Prescott Intermediate School (125 Elm St. N.) Book Club meets at 1 p.m. to discuss “ A Farewell to Arms “ by Ernest Hemingway.

Wednesday, Feb. 28: Card games will be played from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Join us for Euchre, Bridge or game of your choice.

Thursday, Feb. 29: Join your friends at 1 p.m.  in making Easter crafts for the Senior Nutrition Site and for the Meals on Wheels program.
As you can see, we have a lot planned for you in the rest of February. Prescott Senior Gathering Place is open to all age 55 and older. It is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Room G5 at the Prescott Middle School.
