PRESCOTT – I just put 676 miles on my car in four days! I traveled to northwestern Iowa to attend my 60th high school reunion for Gehlen HS, Le Mars, Iowa. Yes, it was a long trip, but I listened to a very exciting audio book from the library enroute. There were a few good rest stops along the way and very minimal road construction which was a good surprise. The classmates who attended were so great to catch up with. There weren't as many as our 50th reunion but life has called a few home to heaven since then. It was a great experience and we even talked about doing it again in five years. God willing!

Wednesday, Aug. 12: Cards day; Euchre will be played and enjoyed by all.  

Thursday, Aug. 13: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Canasta card game will be played at either 12:30 p.m. or 1 p.m., whenever all the players arrive! Old and new players are invited for this fun game.  

Tuesday, Aug. 18: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Mahjongg players meet from 9-11:30 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church (1435 St. Croix St.) At 1 p.m., Left, Right, Center dice game will be played. Remember to bring your dimes.

Wednesday, Aug. 19: Cards day with Euchre played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge played at 1 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 20: Bunco will be played at 1:30 p.m. Old and new players are welcome as instruction is ongoing!

Friday, Aug. 21: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank Community room lower level.

The Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St. at the Prescott Middle School, Door 5. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All seniors 55 years and older are invited to attend.
