PRESCOTT – The 2025 Pierce County Fair is now history. I hope many of you were able to enjoy this yearly event. It always amazes me to see all the talent on display with the multitude of submissions by Pierce County residents.
For many of us the next fair will be the Minnesota State Fair; after all we are honorary Minnesotans, right? Coming from Minniconsin after all!
Coming activities:
Wednesday, Aug. 13: Euchre will be played at the Gathering Place at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 14: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the courts at Elm Street. Canasta will be played at 12:30 p.m. at the Gathering Place. Art 101 meets at 1 p.m. at the Gathering Place.
Friday, Aug. 15: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at Freedom Park.
Tuesday, Aug. 19: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the courts at Elm Street. Mahjongg players meet at 9 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church. Left, Right, Center dice game will be played at the Gathering Place at 1 p.m. Remember to bring your dimes.
Wednesday, Aug. 20: Euchre will be played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge will be played at 1 p.m.
Remember to mark your calendars for the Kickoff to Fall Potluck Picnic at Freedom Park Pavilion at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 26. More info next week.
The Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St. at the Prescott Middle School, Door 5. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All seniors age 55 years and older are welcome to attend.
