PRESCOTT – Here we are in the last month of summer, at least it is for anyone going to school! I for one will celebrate summer into September! The warm weather is sure to follow into September as it has every other year. Be careful about wishing for cooler temperatures as we will have a frost before you know it!

Coming activities:

Wednesday, Aug. 5: Cards day at the Gathering Place with Euchre played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 6: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Art 101 participants meet at 1 p.m. at the Gathering Place.

Friday, Aug. 7: Memory Café meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Visitor Center at Freedom Park.

Tuesday, Aug. 11: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Mahjongg players meet from 9-11:30 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church (1435 St. Croix St.) Gathering Place will be closed this Tuesday as there is no activity scheduled.

Wednesday, Aug. 12: Euchre card game will be played at 12:30 p.m.  

Thursday, Aug. 13: Canasta card game will be played at 12:30 p.m.; old and new players are invited for this fun game.

Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St. at the Prescott Muddle School, Door 5. Regular hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All seniors age 55 and older are invited to attend.
