PRESCOTT – Wow! I hope you are enjoying the touch of spring like I am! No snow or ice on my deck or driveway, and all the winter sand blown out of my garage. I did see the future forecast for more winter-like temperatures, but the past warm weather will help us tolerate whatever March brings us. Even if it comes in like a lion.
Coming events:
Wednesday, Feb. 18: Program & Publicity meeting at 10:15 a.m. Cards Day with Euchre played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge played at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 19: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate school gym (125 Elm St. N.) The movie "A Complete Unknown," the Bob Dylan biopic, will be shown at 1:15 p.m. (note new start time).
Friday, Feb. 20: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank, lower-level Community Room.
Tuesday, Feb. 24: Book Club meets at 1 p.m. to discuss "The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store," by James McBride.
Wednesday, Feb. 25: Euchre card game will be played from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 26: Canasta card game will be played at 1 p.m.
Prescott Senior Gathering Place is open to all people age 55 and older. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. The Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5 of the Prescott Intermediate School.
