PRESCOTT – February has several special days for us: Groundhog Day, Valentines Day, Presidents Day (Abraham Lincoln and George Washington's birthdays), Mardi Gras,
Ash Wednesday. For a short month there is a lot to celebrate. Most of us feel like it is a month to warm up for winter! However, March will still blow in and remind us that winter isn't over. Whatever the weather, you are still welcome to meet us at the Gathering Place for many activities.
Wednesday, Feb. 4: Cards Day, join us for Euchre at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 5: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 N. Elm St.) Art 101/watercolor meets at 1 p.m.; beginners welcome.
Friday, Feb. 6: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank community room, lower level.
Tuesday, Feb. 10: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. Mahjongg players meet from 9-11:30 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church. At noon join us for a potluck lunch; everyone is welcome, bring a friend. The meal is followed by our speaker from St Croix Hospice, who will talk about preventing falls.
Wednesday, Feb. 11: Cards Day, Euchre will be played at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 12: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. Join members at 1 p.m. for Canasta (cards).
Tuesday, Feb. 13: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. Hooks and Needles meets at 10 a.m.; bring your projects, no teaching. At 12:30 p.m., meet for a fun dice game of Left, Right, Center; bring your dimes.
The Prescott Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Prescott Middle School. Use Door 5. All seniors age 55 and older are welcome. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
