PRESCOTT – The widespread cold this morning sure emphasizes that we live in one of the coldest parts of the USA! It's even warmer in Alaska. The sun is great to see but it isn't warming up the atmosphere at all! You are welcome at the Gathering Place as it is only a short distance from your car to our door. It's amazing how good fellowship can warm your heart and mind!
Coming activities:
Wednesday, Jan. 21: Program and Publicity committees meet at 10:15 a.m. Euchre will be played at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 22: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 Elm St. N.) The Canasta card game is played at 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 27: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. At 1 p.m. the Book Club meets to discuss "Everybody Just Breathe" by Amanda V. Peterson, a local writer.
Wednesday, Jan. 28: Meet at 12:30 p.m. to play Euchre or 1 p.m. to play Bridge.
Thursday, Jan. 29: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. At 1 p.m., meet at Gathering Place and learn to make crochet covered hangers. Bring a plastic hanger; the rest of the materials are supplied.
Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at the Prescott Middle School, 1220 St. Croix St., Prescott. All seniors age 55 and older are welcome. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
