PRESCOTT – The fire smoke and high temperatures and humidity have affected all of us. The pontoon boating trip last week was cancelled on Thursday. That is usually a fun trip but not with all the weather alerts. I have not heard yet if it will be rescheduled. It is really unsettling to see how far and wide these alerts extend. I hope you are all holding up.
Coming activities:
Wednesday, July 22: 12:30-3 p.m. Euchre card game will be played.
Thursday, July 23: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. to play on the outside courts on Court Street unless inclement weather. Bunco will be played at 1:30 p.m. at the Gathering Place.
Friday, July 24: Memory Café meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank lower level community room.
Tuesday, July 28: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. to play on the outside courts on Court Street unless inclement weather. Mahjongg players meet for play from 10-11:30 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church (1435 St Croix St.) Book Club meets at 1 p.m. to review the book, "The Secret Life of Bees," by Sue Monk Kidd.
Wednesday, July 29: Euchre card game will be played at 12:30-3 p.m.
Thursday, July 30: Morning trip to "Feed My Starving Children" has been canceled and will be rescheduled in the fall.
Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at 120 St. Croix St., Door 5 of Prescott Middle School.
Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All seniors age 55 and older are welcome to attend. You are invited to come any time and check things out!
