PRESCOTT – July 4 weekend is over; I hope you all had an enjoyable one and benefitted from the rain showers. Yes, it means we have to mow the lawn again but my plants and your gardens sure enjoyed it. Do you remember the phrase about field corn? "Knee high by the 4th of July." Well, it is now shoulder high for a 6-foot person! Hopefully our crops continue to do well!
Coming activities:
Wednesday, July 8: Euchre players meet at 12:30 p.m. for another fun afternoon of cards.
Thursday, July 9: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. to play at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Closed: No afternoon plans scheduled today at the Gathering Place.
Tuesday, July 14: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Mahjong players meet from 10-11:30 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church (1435 St. Croix St). Sorry, the Gathering Place will be closed again today. Enjoy your summer, see you later this week!
Wednesday, July 15: Card players meet today to play Euchre at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.
Thursday, July 16: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. to play at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Bunco will be played at 1:30 p.m. at the Gathering Place. Old and new players are welcome
Friday, July 17: Memory Café meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank Community Room, lower level.
Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at the Prescott Middle School (1220 St. Croix St., Door 5). Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All seniors age 55 and older are invited to participate.
