PRESCOTT — I know summer has officially started but personally I don't miss heat and humidity, mostly humidity! These temperatures in the 70s and the sunny skies are just fine with me. I'm sure my electric bill will also be a little lower and that's okay too. I hope all of you can get out and enjoy the weather. Stop by and enjoy some of the activities at the Gathering Place, we would love to see you!

Coming Activities:

Wednesday, June 24: Come and enjoy a game of Euchre at 12:30 p.m. We have many players waiting just to beat you!

Thursday, June 25: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Another great card game is played at 12:30 p.m. That's the game of Canasta; experienced players are willing to guide you if you haven't played for a while.

Tuesday, June 30: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Mahjong players meet from 10-11:30 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church. No formal activity planned for today at the Gathering Place, but you can come by and browse through our library of books or bring a friend or two and enjoy one of the many games available.

Wednesday, July 1: Come play Euchre at 12:30 p.m. or play Bridge at 1 p.m.

Thursday, July 2: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. to play at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Join fellow emerging artists for Art 101 at 1 p.m.

Friday, July 3: Memory Cafe takes place from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Visitor Center at Freedom Park.

Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at the Prescott Middle School (1220 St. Croix St., door 5). Regular hours are 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All seniors aged 55 years and older are welcome.
