PRESCOTT – The past week may have seemed like spring is here but believe me we are not off the weather rollercoaster yet! We still have fluctuating cold temps in store and maybe some more snow! Remember March came in like a lamb. 

School spring break is ahead of us also, so Gathering Place will be closed March 17-21. You can do some spring cleaning or clean out a closet or two. Better yet, you can finish doing your taxes! Exciting alternatives for all of us. Of course, you can also go to a different location every Friday night and try all the great Friday Night fish fry's in and around town!

Coming activities:

Wednesday, March 12: Euchre and Bridge will be played from 12.30-3:30 p.m. There are always good treats for afternoon break!

Thursday, March 13: Pickleball players will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. for pickleball games. Meet at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. Canasta will be played at the Gathering Place at 12:30 p.m. At 1 p.m., meet in Room G9 for Art 101/Watercolor, beginners welcome.  

March 17-21 Gathering Place is closed for Spring Break. 

However, Memory Cafe will still meet 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, March 21 at the First National Bank community room.

The following week, Tuesday, March 25, join pickleball players at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. Then, Book Club meets at 1 p.m. to discuss " The Night Watchman" by local author Louse Erdrich. The book is partially based on facts.

Prescott Gathering Place is open to all seniors aged 55 years and older. Regular hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m. with occasional morning events. We are located at 1220 St. Croix St., Prescott Middle School, Door 5. Please join us!
