PRESCOTT – You can really tell spring is here just by listening! Listening to the sound of kids playing outside, birds singing, lawn mowers and motorcycles. The sun is shining brightly but the wind is occasionally still a bit gusty. The leaves on the trees have been popping out like crazy, adding a beautiful array of greens to our neighborhoods. Welcome spring!
Coming activities:
Wednesday, May 6: Cards day with Euchre at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.
Thursday, May 7: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street east of the Prescott Intermediate School. Art 101/Watercolor meets at the Gathering Place at 1 p.m. Beginners welcome.
Tuesday, May 12: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outside courts on Court Street. Mahjongg players meet at Joy Lutheran Church (1435 St. Croix St.) from 9-11:30 a.m. Potluck lunch at 12 noon followed by a speaker at 1 p.m. Ed Lucas will update us on Magee Park and Pine Coulee Trails at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, May 13: Euchre will be played at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 14: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. The Canasta card game will be played at 12:30 p.m.
Friday, May 15: Memory Cafe meets from 10-1130 a.m. at the First National Bank community room.
The Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5 of the Prescott Middle School.
Regular hours are 12:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. All seniors age 55 and older are invited to attend.
