PRESCOTT – The chill is in the air and we are preparing for the holidays to come. I am hoping the recent increased number of Christmas decorations that have appeared don't mean some have forgotten about Thanksgiving! The Prescott Area Churches Association (PACA) is holding an Ecumenical Thanksgiving service this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Joy Lutheran Church, which is open to everyone. Please feel free to come.
Please note that the Senior Gathering Place will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 26 and Thursday, Nov. 27 in honor of Thanksgiving. I hope you all have friends and family to celebrate with.
Coming activities:
Wednesday, Nov. 18: The Program and Publicity committees meets at 10:15 a.m. Cards Day with Euchre played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge will be played at 1 p.m.
Thursday Nov. 19: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 Elm St. N.) At 1 p.m., join us at the Gathering Place to watch the movie "The First Wives Club" and enjoy some humor and the actress Diane Keaton.
Friday, Nov. 21: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank community room lower level.
Tuesday, Nov. 25: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 Elm St. N.) Book Club meets at 1 p.m. to discuss the book "The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek" by Kim Richardson.
We are looking forward to seeing you in December, more information coming soon!
Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5 of the Prescot Middle School. Regular hours are from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All seniors age 55 and older are invited to attend.
