PRESCOTT – October is here and we are blessed with wonderful fall weather. The trees are beautiful fall colors, the corn and soybeans are drying fast, and Halloween decorations are going up everywhere. The warm days and cool evenings are being enjoyed by all.
Coming activities:
Wednesday, Oct. 1: It’s Cards Day with Euchre being played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 2: Pickleball will be played at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School. Join us at 1 p.m. for a fall craft with Carol. Stop in the Gathering Place to see a sample and to sign up, no charge.
Friday, Oct. 3: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank community room, lower level (1151 Canton St.)
Tuesday, Oct. 7: Pickleball will be played at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School. At 12:30 p.m., we will host Open Fellowship; bring a friend and a game to play or just come to visit.
Wednesday, Oct. 8: Cards Day, come play Euchre at 12:30 p.m. or play a game of your choice.
Thursday, Oct. 9: Pickleball will be played at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School. At 12:30 p.m. a Canasta card game will be played. Beginners are welcome at Art 101 Watercolor at 1 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 13: Gathering Place is closed but meet there at 12:30 p.m. to leave for the UWRF field trip to visit the new Dairy Plant and the Archives Department. Sign up prior to the event at the Gathering Place.
Tuesday, Oct. 14: Pickleball will be played at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School. Our potluck is at noon; bring a friend. At 1 p.m., speakers Tom Blank and Connie Misener will talk about activities at the Orange Dragon Art Gallery.
Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5 of the Prescott Middle School. Traditional hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All seniors aged 55 years and older are invited. Stop in and find out what is going on!
