PRESCOTT – This week brings the end of October and Halloween. And it looks like our mild fall weather will help us greet November. Remember that Daylight Savings Time ends the first Sunday of November! So this year it is starting early on Nov. 2. Those of you who start your days early will note the darker mornings while those of us who are night owls will enjoy the extended daylight!

Coming activities:

Wednesday, Oct. 29: A fifth Wednesday in October so an extra day to play Euchre. Join players from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 30: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 Elm St. N.) It's been great seeing players outside on the courts in the afternoons with our great fall weather! Then at 1 p.m., something new. Join us at the Gathering Place for a Fall Treats Contest. Show off your favorite autumn dessert or snack in our friendly contest. All tasters/judges are welcome!

Tuesday, Nov. 4: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School (125 Elm St. N.) The Gathering Place Middle School location will be closed on this Tuesday only. However, from 4-7 p.m. you can stop by anytime to enjoy the German Dinner at St John's UCC (N5496 County Road QQ). A delicious meal and friendship for only $15.

Wednesday, Nov. 5: Come play Euchre at 12:30 p.m. or Bridge at 1 p.m. 

Thursday, Nov. 6: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 Elm St. N.) At 1 p.m., Art 101/Watercolor meets; beginners welcome.  

Friday, Nov. 7: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank Community Room, lower level. Ample parking on lower level.

Tuesday, Nov. 11: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. The monthly potluck lunch will take place at noon at the Gathering Place; bring a dish to pass and a friend. Stay after lunch and join us for our speaker at 1 p.m. Come hear Amy Hildebrandt Schommer from the Ridgetop tell us all about her growing business.
