PRESCOTT – We just completed a very busy weekend. Not only all the events of Prescott Daze but also a high school football win and sadly a Packer loss. The weather cooperated immensely well with good temperatures, some wind and no rain. The fact that we missed rain again, however, was a big disappointment to many. We are so very dry and most of us would welcome some good steady showers.
Coming activities:
Wednesday, Sept. 16: At 10:30 a.m. Program and Publicity Committee meeting. Card day with Euchre played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge played at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 17: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Meet at the Gathering Place at 1:30 p.m. for a fun game of Bunco. Teaching will occur for new players.
Friday, Sept. 18; Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank community room, lower level.
Tuesday, Sept. 22: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts at Court Street. Mahjongg players meet from 9-11:30 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church (1435 Court St.) Book Club meets at 1 p.m. at the Gathering Place. The book "Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen" by Susan Gregg Gilmore will be discussed.
Wednesday, Sept. 23: Euchre card game will be played at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Canasta card game will be played at the gathering place at 12:30 p.m.
Gathering Place is located at the Prescott Middle School (1220 St. Croix St., Door 5.) Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All seniors age 55 and older are welcome to attend.
