PRESCOTT – The rain came and it was wonderful! I hope not many of you had your plans changed but getting the consistent steady moderate rainfall was just what we needed. Of course, we had to mow lawns again but that was a small price to pay. Getting 1 to 1.5 inches like that was what my farmer father would call a real blessing. Hopefully we will get more this fall.
Coming activities:
Wednesday, Sept. 23: Cards day with Euchre played at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Canasta card game will be played at 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 29: Pickleball players meet for play at 8:30 a.m. at the outdoor courts on Court Street. Mahjongg players meet from 9-11 a.m. at Joy Lutheran Church (1435 St. Croix St.) Join members at 1 p.m. to make a craft. The item is on display at the Gathering Place with a signup sheet; $2 fee collected at class.
Wednesday, Sept. 30: Cards day with Euchre played at 12:30 p.m.

Gathering Place is located at the Prescott Middle School (1220 St. Croix St., Door 5.) Regular hours are 12:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays. All seniors age 55 and older are welcome to attend.
