Senior Gathering Place activities: Week of May 17

PRESCOTT – Current members and possible new members, PLEASE NOTE. We will not be meeting in our usual space in June, July and August as Prescott schools are undergoing a remodeling project. Next fall we will still be in the current building but this summer following renovations it becomes the Prescott Middle School. We will keep you informed via this column as to where our events are taking place for the summer. Summer hours will be Tuesday and Wednesdays only.
Thursday, May 18: There is a new event! A special showing at 1 p.m. of “Floods of the Confluence,” which will be at the Prescott Area Historical Society, 233 Broad St., next to the clock tower downtown.

Friday, May 19: Memory Café meets at the First National Bank of River Falls (1151 Canton St.) lower level from 10-11:30 a.m.

Tuesday, May 23: At 9 a.m., Walking Group meets at the Gathering Place. Pickleball also meets at 9 a.m. at Gathering Place. At 1 p.m., the Book Club will discuss “The Jungle” by Upton Sinclair.

Wednesday, May 24: Meet at Gathering Place for cards, Euchre, Bridge and card games of your choice.
Gathering place will be closed for the Memorial Day weekend Thursday, May 25 and Tuesday, May 30.
Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Prescott. Use Door #5. Gathering Place is open to all seniors age 55 and older.
