PRESCOTT – Hi seniors! Don’t you find it interesting that it is mid-August and our lawns are still green !? In this year of drought I find it amazing! The youth in my neighborhood are grateful to still be able to earn some cash mowing. I do support youth employment!
We continue to meet on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons 12:30-3:30 p.m. at the First National Bank community room, lower level. There is ample parking too.

Tuesday, Aug. 22: Book Club meets at 1 p.m. at Freedom Park Pavilion. Discussion will be on William Faulkner’s banned book, “As I Lay Dying.”

Wednesday, Aug. 23: From 12:30-3:30 p.m. play card games such as Euchre, Bridge or game of choice

Thursday, Aug. 24: “Art in the Park” takes place 10 a.m. to noon at Freedom Park Pavilion. Come paint rocks to decorate your garden or give to a friend. Bring a paintbrush if you have one; rocks and paint will be provided. Call Karen Lehman, 715-262-3418 if you plan to attend or have questions. Come have some fun!

Reminder: Our summer ending pot luck will be held at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at the Freedom Park Pavilion. Please bring a dish to pass and a friend or two. Bratwurst, hotdogs, condiments, plates, napkins, silverware and drinks will be provided. Come enjoy a good lunch and friendship!
We will keep you posted as to when the Senior Gathering Place reopens. Right now we are looking at the week after Labor Day.
