PRESCOTT – I think we dodged a bullet with March leaving like a mild-mannered lion this year. The last of March was pretty wet with a touch of snow. Let's hope April follows suit and warmer temps continue. My tulips would surely appreciate it and so would I.

Remember, there was no potluck lunch on Tuesday, April 1 as we are having the annual meeting for Gathering Place on Tuesday, April 8. Lunch will be provided at noon that day. Mark your calendars!

Upcoming activities:

Wednesday, April 2: Cards Day is 12:30-3:30 p.m. with Euchre and Bridge being played. All are welcome, bring a friend!

Thursday, April 3: Pickleball players will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym for play. Games will be played in the gym until further notice. At 1 p.m., the St. Croix Valley Quartet, Just 4 Fun, will perform four-part harmony at the Gathering Place. Come to Door 5 of Prescott Middle School to attend. Enjoy dessert after the performance. There will be a drawing to win tickets to the Croix Chordsmen Spring Show as well as an opportunity to purchase tickets for it. Everyone is welcome; membership is not required. Bring a friend!

Friday, April 4: Memory Café will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank community room (lower level).  

Tuesday, April 8: Pickleball players will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 Elm St. N.) Games will be played in the gym until further notice. Mahjongg meets every Tuesday at Joy Lutheran Church from 9-11:30 a.m. At noon, lunch will be provided prior to the Gathering Place Annual meeting. All Gathering Place members are invited to hear where we have been and where we are going in the future.

Wednesday, April 9: At 10 a.m., plant your own basket/planter at Seven Sisters. Registration is required; cost of plants are at your expense. Bring your own basket/planter or purchase one there. Planters will be held until warmer weather with pick up at a later date.  From 12:30- 3:30 p.m. come play cards, Euchre and Bridge.

Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St. in the Prescott Middle School, Door 5. All seniors aged 55 and older are invited to attend. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30- 3:30 p.m. with occasional activities earlier.
