PRESCOTT – Summer is gracing us with warm but humid days, but the result is beautiful flowers and bushes all around! The sweet corn has tasseled, so soon we will have boundless supplies to eat! Other wonderful delectables are showing up at farmers markets everywhere. We are truly blessed.
Upcoming activities;
Wednesday, July 23: Join Gathering Place members for Euchre from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 24: Join Pickleball players at the Lions Park courts on Elm St at 8:30 a.m. Canasta will be played at the Gathering Place at 12:30 p.m.
Monday, July 28: Program & Publicity Committees meet at 10:45 a.m.
Tuesday, July 29: Come to the Gathering Place at 1 p.m. to meet and visit with the new Prescott School District Superintendent Jim Reif. This coincides with an Ice Cream Social and members are all welcome. Also on Tuesday, join pickleball players at Lions Park on Elm Street at 8:30 a.m. Mahjongg players meet at Joy Lutheran church at 9 a.m.
Wednesday, July 30: Euchre card players meet from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 31; Come spend time at Gathering Place doing a puzzle with friends, browse the very full book shelf, play one of the many in the cupboard, all are welcome.
Friday, Aug. 1: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank lower level Community Room.
The Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5 of the Prescott Middle School. All seniors aged 55 years and older are welcome. Regular hours are 12:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
