PRESCOTT – With the recent hot and humid days it does not feel like the end of summer, but fall is right around the corner. School is starting and we are back meeting at the Prescott Middle School for Gathering Place activities. We hope you were able to join us for the Fall Kick-Off picnic on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at Freedom Park. This took the place of our usual first Tuesday potluck lunch in September.
Thursday, Aug. 29: Pickleball meets at 9 a.m. at Lions Park across from the Intermediate School on Elm Street
Tuesday, Sept. 3; Gathering Place reopens at Prescott Middle School. Hours are 12:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Wednesday, Sept. 4: Join your friends for cards Euchre, Bridge, or game of your choice from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 5: Pickleball meets at 9 a.m. at Lions Park across from the Intermediate School on Elm Street.
Friday, Sept. 6: Memory Cafe meets in the lower level of the First National Bank from 10-11:30 a.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 10: Walking group meets at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Prescott Middle School; pickleball meets at 9 a.m. at Lions Park across from the Intermediate School on Elm Street. Play Mahjongg from 9-11 a.m. Call Aggie Hoscheit at 715-641-2265 for location. Join your friends at 1 p.m. at the Gathering Place for “Keeping in Touch.” Coffee and treats will be served.
Wednesday, Sept. 11: Meet at the Gathering Place for cards, Euchre, Bridge or game of your choice from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Senior Gathering Place is open to all seniors age 55 and older. The regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m. We are located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5, of the Prescott Middle School.
We wish to send a huge “thank you” to the First National Bank for hosting us all summer during the middle school reconstruction/ remodeling process. We really appreciate your kindness.
Come join us this fall as we have a full calendar and are always open to suggestions for various activities. Schedules are available at the Gathering Place if you don’t receive them via email.
