Deputies responded to Ellsworth near the intersection of 430th Ave. and Cty. Tk. O and removed a tree from the roadway.

7:45 a.m. Theft was reported from 1250th St. in River

Falls. 10:49 a.m.

A report of a gas drive-off was taken from Hwy. 35 in Bay City.

10:45 a.m.

A driving complaint was received from River Falls near the intersection of 920th St. and Hwy. 65. The vehicle reported to be traveling at a high rate of speed was located and no driving violations were observed. 12:19 p.m.

A Deputy met a black sport bike with a solo driver going well over 100 MPH eastbound on Hwy. 29 near Cty. Tk. MM in River Falls as they passed a vehicle. After turning around and patrolling into River Falls, the vehicle was not located. RFPD also could not locate the motorcycle.

5:36 p.m.

Theft of a retail item was reported on Hwy. 65 in River Falls.

6:28 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Maiden Rock on Hwy. 35 to take a report of possible theft.

7:34 p.m.

Deputies responded to Ellsworth on 450th Ave. for a stolen trailer. Information was collected and the trailer was entered as stolen. A trailer was recovered from Red Wing and placed in impound. 10:14 p.m.

Deputies responded to 785th St. in Hager City for a suspicious vehicle.

10:15 p.m.

Suspicious activity was reported on Cardinal Dr. in Spring Valley. The complainant stated an unknown suspect had knocked on her door and fled the scene.

Four controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

September 29 A Deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Cty. Tk. ZZ and Hwy. 10 in Plum City for a truck that drove into and out of the ditch. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

3:01 p.m.

Deputies responded to the intersection of Fifth St. and Main St. in Bay City for the theft of a vehicle. Upon leaving the residence, the vehicle was located pulled into some weeds about a half of a block away. The vehicle was undamaged, and the owner did not wish for any paperwork to be filed. 4:08 p.m.

A Deputy responded to an address on Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth for a cow in the roadway. The cow was corralled back into the fence.

Five controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

September 30 3:25 p.m.

An anonymous complainant informed Deputies of a suspicious vehicle in the Nilssen’s parking lot. The vehicle was seen leaving and pulling onto Campbell St. driving on the wrong side of the road and pulling into a driveway. THC was smelled and located in the car.

3:30 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to River Falls near the intersection of 1070th St. and 690th Ave. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense. 3:39 p.m. Theft of a political sign was reported from 950th St. in River Falls. 4:32 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched for a two-vehicle crash with injuries near the intersection of Hwy. 10 and Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth. Both drivers were transported to the hospital for injuries.

8:54 p.m.

An unwanted subject was reported on Cty. Tk. EE in Bay City. The subject left prior to arrival and was located by Red Wing PD.

October 1 2:42 a.m.

A Deputy responded to Hager City near the intersection of 290th Ave. and Hwy. 35 for a car that got hung up on the railroad tracks and was struck by a train. The driver of the car was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash and left the scene prior to arrival. See crash report.

10:39 a.m.

A complainant reported a sign stolen from their yard on Hwy. 65 in River Falls sometime the previous two nights. 8:40 p.m.

Deputies responded to 150th Ave. in Hager City for a possible structure fire. Deputies spoke with the plant manager, who stated it was an air unit that started on fire and they had it under control and did not need emergency services.

9:03 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped for speed in Hager City near the intersection of Hwy. 63 and 825th St. N. An odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. The driver was given a citation for THC and written warnings for other violations.

Two controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 2 2:55 a.m.

Deputies were requested to respond to an overnight rental on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock to respond to an overnight rental to remove subjects who had not paid to be there. Deputies attempted to make contact with anyone inside and entered the rental. It appeared as nobody was there. 4:14 a.m.

A possible break in was reported on 1165th St. in Prescott. All exterior doors were secure, and no sign of forced entry was found.

11:57 a.m.

A broken-down combine was reported in the roadway near the intersection of 330th St. and Cty. Tk. G in Elmwood. The Deputy stood by providing lights while they towed the combine.

2:38 p.m.

A complainant on 450th Ave. in Ellsworth reported two blue totes with roofing tools stolen from their house.

3:55 p.m.

A Deputy was given information about a driving complaint. Contact was made with the subject in the 100 block of N. Maple St. in Ellsworth and field sobriety was performed. The driver was arrested for Operating Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated – 1st Offense and released to a responsible adult.

10:21 p.m.

Deputies responded to an address on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock for bricks that fell off a building into the roadway. The roadway was closed, and public works responded to complete the cleanup. The building owner was contacted and advised to have the building looked at.

October 3 11:46 a.m.

A suspicious vehicle was checked on that was parked in a parking lot on Hwy. 65 in River Falls. The caller stated it had been there a couple of days and had no plates. The registered owner was contacted, who stated he dropped it off for the neighboring business to go to auction.

4:20 p.m.

Dispatch received a call about a male property owner that was acting disorderly towards a fisherman near the intersection of Cty. Tk. AA and Hwy. 35 in Stockholm. Both parties were contacted, who stated the other male was acting disorderly. Both subjects were advised to contact the Sheriff’s Office in the future.

4:24 p.m.

A report was received of a possible ATV accident on 150th Ave. near 135th Ave. in Hager City. Subjects and vehicles were gone prior to arrival.

21 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 4 2:59 a.m.

Contact was made with subjects in a bar parking lot on Cty. Tk. VV in Hager City after hours. The subjects located sober rides home.

3:20 a.m.

A driver was stopped for speed on Cty. Tk. W near Hwy. 29 in River Falls and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense. See report. 10:25 a.m.

A complainant on Wabash St. in Bay City reported someone spray painted “F U” with yellow spray paint on his blacktop driveway. The complainant suspected an individual but was not certain. The complainant stated they would call back when they received further information.

1:58 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped for passing on double yellow lines in Hager City near the intersection of 1005th St. and Hwy. 35. The driver was arrested for Possession of THC, Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Bail Jumping and Probation Hold.

10:24 p.m.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of S. Main St. in Elmwood for a theft report from a vehicle. Information and statements were collected. Witnesses were interviewed.
