ELLSWORTH – Pierce County Sheriff Nancy Hove will not be seeking reelection when her term is up in April 2023.
According to Pierce County Clerk Jamie Feuerhelm, Hove filed a notification of noncandidacy on April 20. The deadline for that particular form is May 20.
“The deadline for those desiring to run for Sheriff or Clerk of Court is no later than June 1, 5 p.m.,” Feuerhelm said. “Again, those filings are due in my office.”
Sgt. Chad Koranda, the county’s D.A.R.E. officer, has filed paperwork to run for sheriff. He has until June 1 to submit a min imum of 200 signatures to gain ballot access, Feuerhelm said.
