The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office March 28 through April 4.

Monday, March 28

Officers assisted Spring Valley police with a check welfare at 9:20 p.m. at E121 S. Second St.

At 10:29 p.m., officers responded to the area of Highway 29 and County Road E in the town of River Falls for a hit-and-run crash. The suspect vehicle was identified and the owner located.

Tuesday, March 29

A missing stop sign was reported to the Highway Department at 10:42 a.m. at County Road F and 769th Avenue, River Falls.

Police performed a welfare check at 1:58 p.m. at W3565 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. A woman hadn’t been heard from in some time, but she was fine.

A caller requested extra patrol at 2:15 p.m. in the area of 1307th Street and 635th Avenue in the town of Clifton.

Deputies checked on a suspicious man walking on the side of the road at 4:32 p.m. near N8436 Highway 128, Spring Valley. The man was trying to walk to an address in St. Croix County. A woman picked him up and gave him a ride.

A caller requested help with a family member who continuously makes inappropriate comments at 5:23 p.m. at W7635 165th Ave., Hager City. The caller has reported this issue multiple times. He was provided information and told to cease contact.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash with injury at 6:17 p.m. at 850th Avenue and County Road BB near Spring Valley. Information was passed onto Wisconsin State Patrol.

A man was arrested for OWI (fifth or sixth), operating after revocation (alcohol related), failure to install ignition interlock device, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for expired registration at 10:42 p.m. near Highway 63 and 825th Street (south) in Hager City.

Wednesday, March 30

A caller reported a shooting complaint at 12:30 p.m. that had occurred near 1115th Street and 446th Avenue, Prescott, the previous evening. Officers noted nothing unusual.

A complainant running for Pierce County Board reported possible harassment at 12:51 p.m. at a 390th Avenue address in rural Ellsworth. A person admitted to his behavior and apologized. The complainant also reported campaign signs being ripped down at an area business. There was no damage.

Deputies assisted with traffic control at 1:23 p.m. in the 200 block of Broad Street in Prescott when the lift bridge was stuck open.

An adult woman called police at 10:53 p.m. from W10807 566th Ave., Prescott, to report her mother had taken her keys form her. The keys belonged to a vehicle that both women own, so officers told her it’s a civil issue.

A driver was arrested for a Minnesota extradition warrant and cited for operate without valid license after a traffic stop at 11:04 p.m. near W7145 148th Ave., Bay City for expired registration.

Thursday, March 31

Police located an open gate at 1:31 a.m. at W6418 Highway 35, Bay City, during a security check. Everything appeared secure.

At 8:31 a.m., a caller reported finding three TVs, a toilet and a stuffed animal dumped in the road right-ofway at N6349 610th St., Beldenville. The township was notified to remove the items.

Police responded at 10:47 p.m. to W3686 Second St., Maiden Rock for a suspicious activity complaint. All entry points appeared secure and no signs of forced entry were located.

A driver was arrested for OWI-second after a traffic stop at 9:34 p.m. near Highway 63/County Road VV (south) in Hager City for failure to move over and expired registration.

Friday, April 1

A driver was arrested for a PCSO warrant and possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop at 3:01 a.m. near Highway 63/County Road VV (south) in Hager City for failure to stop and defective exhaust.

Police responded to a complaint at 7:55 a.m. of a driver near 965th Street and Highway 10 in Hager City losing aluminum cans that were blowing out of a trailer. The driver fixed a hole in the trailer and was asked to help pick up the loose cans.

Deputies assisted River Falls police with a crash at 4:06 p.m. at East Division Street and Highway 35/65 in River Falls.

At 5:57 p.m., an officer observed a woman with a warrant walking near the road in the 1400 block of South Wasson Lane in River Falls. The warrants were confirmed and she was arrested and transported to Pierce County Jail.

Police arrested a man for a Department of Corrections warrant at 7:32 p.m. at N5076 860th St., Ellsworth. He was transported to Pierce County Jail.

Officers responded at 7:35 p.m. to W6087 Highway 10, Ellsworth, for a disorderly man. He left before police arrived.

A driver was arrested for OWI-first after a traffic stop for operating without headlights at 8:42 p.m. near Highway 63 and County Road VV (south) in Hager City.

Saturday, April 2

At 12:03 a.m., a deputy made contact with an individual displaying suspicious behavior at 302 S. Main St. in River Falls. The person was allowed to leave after information was collected.

Officers were called at 12:59 a.m. to W3515 Highway 35, Maiden Rock, for an intoxicated person who caused an argument and refused to leave the parking lot. He was given a courtesy ride to his residence.

Deputies assisted EMS with locating and securing an area for a medical call at 10:27 a.m. near 129 S. Glover Road, River Falls.

A caller requested a welfare check on a man walking along the road at noon near W7725 Highway 10, Ellsworth. He refused to identify himself and said he was okay.

At 12:17 p.m., a complainant reported a mailbox that had been blown up with some type of firecracker at W10803 620th Ave., Prescott. No suspects are noted.

Deputies responded to a verbal domestic incident at 2:12 p.m. at N7488 110th St., Spring Valley. The parties were advised to stay away from each other or remain cordial.

Officers assisted Spring Valley police with a check welfare call at 5:57 p.m. at S105 Newman Ave.

A driver was arrested for OWI, operating after revocation (alcohol related) and failure to install ignition interlock device after police responded to a driving complaint at 6:54 p.m. near Wall and Main streets in Ellsworth for a vehicle almost striking a mailbox. The driver was also cited for operating left of center and keeping open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

A caller reported at 11:33 p.m. someone walking around the area of their residence at W12453 770th Ave., River Falls. When the complainant went outside, the suspect left. No one was there any longer.

Sunday, April 3

Deputies responded at 8:22 a.m. to W8110 770th Ave., River Falls, for a suspicious activity complaint.

A passerby reported a possible grass fire at 12:41 p.m. near W10108 500th Ave., Hager City. The fire was a controlled burn being supervised by the homeowner.

Extra patrol was requested at 10:06 p.m. near N8293 710th St., River Falls.

Monday, April 4

Deputies were asked at 12:02 a.m. to respond to the Red Wing Airport (W7145 148th Ave., Hager City) to check the airport for plane that the FAA had not heard from in half an hour. The plane had landed safely.

Officers were asked to perform a drive-by welfare check at 3:22 a.m. at W4037 650th Ave., Beldenville. The caller as concerned after a controversial social media post.

Police responded at 9:21 a.m. to W7909 Highway 29, River Falls, for an unwanted person.
