The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Dec. 27 through Jan. 9.

Monday, Dec. 27

At 6:08 a.m., a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at Highway 10 and County Road J and struck a semi.

At 8:33 a.m., a northbound vehicle at County Road O and Highway 35 lost control on the ice, rotated and went into the west ditch.

Police investigated a semi driving complaint at 12:40 p.m. near 870th Avenue and County Road F, River Falls. The truck had gone into the ditch and had been driving all over the road. Police learned a trainee was driving and the wind was blowing their empty trailer around. The instructor took over because the road was slippery.

Police were called at 1:30 p.m. to 610th Avenue and 670th Street, Ellsworth, for a vehicle slide-in. Tracks were located but the vehicle was gone.

Officers responded to a single-vehicle slide-in with damage at 1:34 p.m. near 670th Street and 580th Avenue, Ellsworth. Police received a neighbor harassment complaint at 2:30 p.m. from W7286 155th Ave., Bay City. The calls were showing up as “anonymous.” He was told how to apply for a restraining order.

Officers responded at 8:39 p.m. to a domestic between mother and son at W7965 390th Ave., Ellsworth. The son was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, Dec. 28

Police received a complaint at 9:56 a.m. about cattle not having enough food at W5398 Highway 29, Spring Valley. Police obtained permission to enter the property; the animals had plenty of feed.

Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash at 10:48 a.m. near N7549 County Road QQ, Prescott.

A caller reported at 11:09 a.m. that she found a bullet hole that went through the house at N4498 490th St., Ellsworth. It was believed to have happened sometime during deer season.

Police responded to a crash at 12:38 p.m. near N8713 County Road BB, Spring Valley. State Patrol took the report.

A disabled vehicle was abandoned in the lane of traffic at 3:47 p.m. on Highway 65 at 650th Avenue, Beldenville. The vehicle was towed.

Officers assisted with traffic control for a vehicle slide-in at 5:24 p.m. at N5508 950th St., Ellsworth.

A caller reported a diesel fuel theft from a semi on their property at 5:50 p.m. at N8263 County Road P, Spring Valley.

Officers responded at 11:31 p.m. to N3198 875th St., Hager City, for a harassment restraining order violation. A woman was arrested for the HRO violation and disorderly conduct, while a man was arrested for a Department of Corrections warrant. Both parties were taken to Pierce County Jail.

Wednesday, Dec. 29

Deputies responded at 10:39 a.m. to N8874 200th St., Spring Valley, for a possible domestic. Both parties agreed to separate for the rest of the day.

Officers were called at 4:21 p.m. to N3198 875th St., Hager City, for a standby/keep the peace. A woman was able to collect her items.

Thursday, Dec. 30

Officers investigated a suspicious person/activity complaint at 8:38 a.m. near South Scott Street and West Shaw Avenue in Elmwood. The case is pending.

Deputies arrested a person on a warrant at 5:05 p.m. near County Road M and 1060th Street, River Falls.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a domestic at 5:31 p.m. at 112 Evergreen Estates St., Ellsworth.

Friday, Dec. 31

At 10 p.m., deputies assisted at the jail with a disorderly inmate. The inmate was removed from his cell and placed on precautions.

Police located people shooting fireworks from the road at 11:53 p.m. near Highway 63 and 825th Street, Hager City. They were warned for illegal fireworks and left the area.

Saturday, Jan. 1

A caller reported at 1:53 a.m. that a patron had fallen off a bar stool at W3527 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. The patron denied needing EMS.

At 3:08 a.m., police located an open door to the main office building at N3941 Highway 35, Prescott. No one was located inside.

While at the intersections of highways 10 and 63 at 4:10 a.m., a deputy observed a vehicle approaching his squad from behind going sideways. The deputy avoided the striking car. The driver was arrested for OWIfirst and taken to the jail.

At 5:38 a.m., a caller reported a possible intoxicated driver near Highway 65 and County Road W, Beldenville, that was all over the road and had hit a mailbox. The driver was stopped and arrested for OWI-first.

Officers responded at 8:36 a.m. to 213 S. Scott St. for a single-vehicle crash in which the driver fled the scene. Police found the driver and cited them for failure to keep vehicle under control, hit and run and failure to notify police of an accident.

A caller reported at 10:12 a.m. that someone had driven into his driveway at W8899 770th Ave., River Falls, then slid off of it. The driver was arrested for OWIsecond.

Police responded to a vehicle crash at 11:32 a.m. near N5568 County Road BB, Ellsworth. Deputies arrived to find the rolled vehicle abandoned in the ditch. The driver was located.

Deputies responded at 10:44 a.m. to N1090 825th St., Hager City, for a disorderly person who left before police arrived. Police contacted the woman about her behavior.

Sunday, Jan. 2

At 2:13 a.m., the Pierce County K-9 assisted Red Wing police in tracking a suspect, who was found in the basement of a residence that he had broken into. He was taken into custody without incident.

At 5:18 p.m., a caller reported a hit and run that had happened at the Woodshed (N1090 825th St., Hager City). The man saw on video that someone had backed into his car. There was minimal damage.

Police were asked to contact a man at 9:28 p.m. at S135 Newman Ave., Spring Valley, who had been involved in an accident but was not on the scene. A man advised the suspect had left fiver hours earlier.

Monday, Jan. 3

At 1:24 a.m., a woman called police about a suspicious man outside her residence at W9590 295th Ave., Hager City. Her granddaughter who lives there had invited the man there to pick her up. The man was told he’s not welcome at the home.

Officers checked on storage unit lights that were on at 2:52 a.m. at W7858 170th Ave., Hager City. A woman with a key was getting belongings out of her unit.

Police performed a welfare check on a man out walking at 7:08 p.m. near Highway 63 and County Road V, Hager City. The man was given a courtesy ride.

Deputies assisted Spring Valley police and St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation at 7:45 p.m. at S135 Newman Ave., Spring Valley.

A gas theft was reported at 8:59 p.m. at N1817 785th St., Hager City. The complainant thought the act looked intentional. The vehicle and driver were not located.

Tuesday, Jan. 4

Deputies responded to a suspicious activity call involving people dancing around a fire at 9:31 a.m. at N1241 Wabash St., Bay City. A woman said they were just performing a controlled burn.

Police were called at 3:21 p.m. to W8111 County Road K, Ellsworth, to help look for a runaway cow. She was found and put back in the fenced area.

Officers responded at 6:04 p.m. to N6573 1070th St., River Falls, for an unwanted person. Both parties were given information on restraining orders.

Wednesday, Jan. 5

At 9:39 a.m., deputies assisted Spring Valley police with a welfare check at S107 Newman Ave., Spring Valley. The homeowner was located inside barely conscious. EMS and Fire responded for a gas leak while the homeowner was taken to Western Wisconsin Health. A cat and dog were taken to Pierce Veterinary Clinic.

Officers responded at 10:18 a.m. to N1833 785th St., Hager City, for an unwanted woman who was making other patrons uncomfortable. The woman was given a courtesy ride to a residence where she had stayed the night before. Police responded to that residence, W7805 170th Ave., Hager City, at 11:06 a.m. because the woman was not wanted there either. She was given a ride home to Minnesota.

Deputies assisted Spring Valley police with a welfare check at 12:58 p.m. at N353 Sabin Ave., Spring Valley. An adult woman was found deceased in the home. The medical examiner and Pierce County investigators responded.

Police responded at 5:15 p.m. to W6823 210th Ave., Bay City, where a delivery driver had reported an open door. The homeowner advised it had been blown open by the wind.

Officers were called at 6:39 p.m. to County Road C and 250th Avenue, Bay City, where a truck had gone off the road and struck a guardrail. The vehicle was towed.

Police responded at 8:34 p.m. to Highway 63 and 210th Avenue, Hager City, for a car vs. guardrail crash. The vehicle was towed and the occupants given a courtesy ride to a Red Wing hotel.

Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash that had been called in from a driving complaint at 10:17 a.m. near Highway 65 and 770th Avenue, River Falls. When police arrived, a man began making suicidal statements. A safety plan was put in place for him.

Thursday, Jan. 6

A caller reported having problems with a neighbor at 8:58 a.m. at N6852 490th St., Beldenville. The caller’s herd dog barks at night to keep predators away from the flock, but the neighbor complains.

Officers responded at 7:45 p.m. to W7709 170th Ave., Hager City, for a possible domestic. The complainant declined to file a report.

Deputies assisted the fire department with a wood shed on fire at 9:10 p.m. at N6475 County Road P, Elmwood.

Officers were called at 9:30 p.m. to 130 N. Woodworth St., Elmwood, for a vehicle slide-in. The driver was able to remove the vehicle before police arrived; the property owner confirmed his property was not damaged.

Friday, Jan. 7

Deputies assisted River Falls police in locating an intoxicated man walking at 4:21 a.m. near Highway 29 and 805th Avenue, River Falls. The man refused a ride or help.

Deputies assisted Elmwood schools with active shooter training at 2:29 p.m.

At 3:04 p.m., police investigated a suspicious delivery van parked at Sabe’s Loft (W6390 Highway 35, Bay City). The driver said he’d finished his route and was tired so he stopped to rest.

Officers responded to a vehicle in the ditch at 10:34 p.m. at County Road FF and Greenwood Valley Drive, River Falls. The vehicle had no damage.

Saturday, Jan. 8

Officers assisted a motorist back onto the roadway after a vehicle slide-in at 3:39 a.m. near Highway 29 and County Road QQ, Prescott.

Police located a van in the ditch at 5:42 a.m. near Highway 29 and County Road QQ, Prescott. The driver had hit a massive snow drift and became stuck. A tow removed the vehicle.

Police responded for two vehicles in the ditch at 5:51 a.m. near Highway 29 and County Road E, River Falls. Neither vehicle had damage and no injuries were reported. A tow removed the vehicles.

Officers discovered an occupied Buick in the ditch at 8:34 a.m. near Highway 35 and 1050th Street, Prescott. The driver wasn’t injured and had already contacted a tow. Police stayed on the scene with lights until the tow arrived.

Deputies assisted Prescott police with a vehicle search while a person was detained at 1:50 p.m. at 1005 Eagle Ridge Driver, Prescott.

Officers assisted Prescott police with a possible burglary at 2:55 p.m. at 800 Canton St., Prescott.

Officers checked on an unoccupied property at 6:19 p.m. on County Road BB, Spring Valley. A caller was concerned because tracks in the snow led to the property. Police contacted the keyholder, who said she’d been there recently, but requested extra patrol.

Deputies assisted at the scene of a vehicle slide-in at 6:50 p.m. near 497th Avenue and 1180th Street, Prescott.

A caller reported alleged drug dealing at 8:54 p.m. at W12565 850th Ave., River Falls. Police made contact and took photos.

Sunday, Jan. 9

Deputies assisted RF police on a traffic stop at 12:30 p.m. at 347 W. Johnson St.

Officers responded at 11:48 p.m. to a vehicle in the ditch near County Road C and 250th Avenue, Bay City. Police tried to contact the vehicle’s owner.
