Monday, Dec. 20

At 10:34 a.m., deputies assisted St. Croix County with picking up a huber inmate at 1600 Orrin Road, Prescott, who violated the jail rules.

An officer responded at 12:39 p.m. to W1957 Highway 72, Elmwood, where a man was having trouble breathing. They stayed on scene until an ambulance arrived.

An officer responded at 12:52 p.m. to Highway 10 and 490th Avenue near Ellsworth for a suspicious activity complaint. A caller reported an unresponsive driver in a disabled vehicle in the roadway. The driver said he needed a nap after delivering papers overnight. He removed the vehicle.

A deputy assisted a driver with changing a flat tire at 4:20 p.m. near Highway 29 and 900th Street, River Falls.

Officers were called at 6:49 p.m. to highways 10 and 63, Ellsworth, for a vehicle broken down partially in the lane of traffic. They provided lights until a tow truck could arrive.

Tuesday, Dec. 21

Deputies performed a welfare check on a man walking along the road at 12:14 a.m. near 830th Avenue and Highway 65, River Falls. The man declined a courtesy ride.

An officer dispatched a young buck who was alive and in the roadway at 5:14 a.m. near County Road V and 620th Street, Ellsworth.

At 7:46 a.m., an officer helped a driver pick up part of a load that had slipped off a trailer near Highway 65 and 920th Street, River Falls.

Deputies received a call at 10:17 a.m. about a neighbor/privacy dispute involving a trail camera at W11058 435th Ave., Prescott. A reasonable solution was reached that both parties agreed to.

Deputies assisted Wisconsin State Patrol at the scene of a crash at 1-:33 a.m. near Highway 35 and 468th Avenue, Prescott.

At 12:42 p.m., a caller reported possible missing property and suspicious activity at W7805 170th Ave., Hager City.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a child custody dispute at 4:03 p.m. at 262 S. Grant St., Ellsworth.

At 5:30 p.m., a complainant reported a verbal argument over property lines at W9375 640th Ave., Ellsworth. Both parties were told it was a civil issue and to avoid contact with each other if unable to speak appropriately.

Police responded at 6:08 p.m. to N7942 535th St., Spring Valley, for an unknown woman who appeared to be under the influence. The woman was cabin-sitting at a nearby cabin. Police took her back to the cabin, where she appeared able to care for herself.

Wednesday, Dec. 22

Officers responded at 12:58 a.m. to Highway 29 and County Road MM, River Falls, for a disabled semi. They gave the driver a courtesy ride to the motel in Prescott and a tow took the semi to UNFI.

At 5:22 p.m., officers responded to county road F and MM, Prescott, where a vehicle had exited the roadway and hit a power pole. EMS transported the driver to a hospital.

At 6:21 p.m., police responded to 921st and 910th streets near River Falls for a vehicle that struck a mailbox. Police located the driver, but didn’t observe damage to the mailbox.

A woman was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping, resisting or obstructing an officer and domestic disorderly conduct after police were called at 7:24 p.m. to W7960 370th Ave., Ellsworth, for a possible bond violation.

Deputies responded at 9:18 p.m. to N3825 Highway 63, Ellsworth, for a possible domestic. The parties were separated for the evening.

Thursday, Dec. 23

Police responded to a possible crash at 6:01 a.m. near Highway 35 and 468th Avenue, Prescott. The truck located on the scene looked like it had hit a deer, before being abandoned. The truck was partially in the lane of traffic on the bridge deck, so police had it towed.

At 7:31 a.m., police found a vehicle that had been involved in a crash on the side of the road at Highway 10 and 530th Avenue, Hager City. The owner returned to remove the vehicle and was cited for failure to report a crash.

At 7:35 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle and occupants let into a locked tenant garage by an unknown person at W7375 170th Ave., Hager City. The people worked on the vehicle but had covered the security cameras. Surveillance video shows a Ford Explorer. The people also left behind receipts.

A caller reported at 12:14 p.m. backing into a phone box behind 122 N. Main St., Elmwood. The phone company determined it was an abandoned box and no longer in use.

At 3:44 p.m., a Hager City resident reported receiving a call from the Pierce County Courthouse main line from someone named Steve. “Steve” said the county was on its way to serve him papers. It appears to be a scam.

A resident reported a cow in the yard at 4:37 p.m. at W8679 650th Ave., River Falls. Police gave the caller the town chair’s number.

Police spoke to a man at 5:53 p.m. at W7249 155th Ave., Bay City, about revving his engine while driving through the neighborhood. The man denied doing it, and said the neighbors are harassing him by calling in driving complaints on him.

At 9:25 p.m., police responded to N3172 490th St., Bay City, for a woman who had fallen and gone unconscious. A family member took her to the hospital.

Friday, Dec. 24

Deputies assisted River Falls police and Allina EMS with a medical call at 4:48 a.m. at 1110 Wasson Circle.

At 10:34 a.m., police responded to a once-vehicle crash with no injury near Highway 63 and 535th Street, Spring Valley. A crash report is being completed.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash with minor injuries at 10:16 a.m. near N7078 Highway 128, Elmwood. EMS transported the driver to River Falls Area Hospital. A crash report is being completed.

At 12:56 p.m., deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a standby/keep the peace at 159 N. Maple St., where a woman wanted to remove some belongings.

Officers responded at 1:14 p.m. to a one-vehicle crash with injuries near W12495 Highway 10, Prescott. EMS took the driver to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. A crash report is being completed.

A driver reported being flipped off by another driver at 3:07 p.m. near County Road G and Highway 63, Beldenville. Police didn’t locate the suspect.

Police responded at 3:46 p.m. to N8638 940th St., River Falls, for a possible burglary. Someone had gone into the shed and taken items.

Saturday, Dec. 25

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle at 1:11 a.m. near 570th Street and Highway 35, Bay City. The occupants told police they were hiking. They left the area.

A caller reported a shooting complaint at 2:46 a.m. near W6721 450th Ave., Ellsworth. Nothing was located.

Officers responded to a medical call for an unresponsive woman at 5:37 a.m. at N1649 452nd St., Maiden Rock. EMS transported her to Mayo Red Wing.

Sunday, Dec. 26

A deputy investigated a possible break-in at 8:58 a.m. at the mine at W3302 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. The mine doors were shut and secured.

At 12:39 p.m., police stopped at W5318 250th Ave., Bay City, to check on a light on in a shed. Everything was secure at the vacant property.

Officers responded to a shooting complaint at 3:22 p.m. near County Road CC and 770th Avenue, Spring Valley. No shooters or hunters were located.

Deputies responded to a duress alarm at 4:39 p.m. at First Bank of Baldwin (S320 S. McKay Ave., Spring Valley). It turned out to be a custodian.

Officers were called at 5:41 p.m. to W9590 295th Ave., Hager City, for an unwanted, suspicious person. The person was allegedly sitting outside the residence, harassing the owners. The person was located and determined to have an invalid license. The vehicle was parked and later towed.

A 9:02 p.m., a caller reported someone all in black clothing walking along the highway near 830th Avenue and Highway 65, River Falls. No one was located.

At 11:36 p.m., police responded to N8481 690th St., River Falls, for a fireworks complaint. Nothing was located.

Monday, Dec. 27

Deputies responded at 12:36 a.m. to Highway 63 and 825th Street, Hager City, for a vehicle slide-in. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to keep vehicle under control.

Officers responded at 3:25 a.m. to Highway 29 and County Road F for vehicle in the ditch. The driver was at work and was planning to figure it out once off work.

At 8:33 a.m., police responded to a one-vehicle crash at County Road O and Highway 35, Hager City. A northbound vehicle had lost control on the ice and went into the west ditch. An accident report will be completed.
