The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Dec. 6-12.

Monday, Dec. 6

At 9:30 a.m., police were notified of a possible missing person at W8205 Highway 29, River Falls. While speaking with the complainant, the man showed up and was fine. He had stayed the night at a hotel and his cell phone was out of commission.

A caller reported an accidental dumpster fire that was already out but still smoking at 9:33 a.m. at W3659 650th Ave., Spring Valley. The declined fire or EMS services.

Police took information about a threat complaint at 12:40 p.m. at N8650 50th St., Spring Valley. The complainant had been receiving threats via phone and text.

At 3:37 p.m., police checked on a Chevy Silverado 2500 with no plates parked near W6265 Highway 63, Ellsworth. It was registered to Victory Fireworks.

Deputies responded at 5:03 p.m. to County Road O and 570th Avenue for a one-vehicle crash with injury. They assisted EMS as needed. Wisconsin State Patrol will investigate the crash.

Suspicious activity was reported at 6:13 p.m. at N4914 Highway 63, Ellsworth. A vehicle was there that didn’t belong, the complainant said. The vehicle’s occupants spoke with police and had permission to be on the property.

Police responded at 9:36 p.m. to a one-vehicle rollover at N5154 County Road O. A crash report is in the works.

A complainant reported that gates were left open to a business property at 10:48 p.m. at N5355 County Road O, Hager City. Everything appeared fine.

Tuesday, Dec. 7

A woman reported a lost phone at 8:44 a.m. She said she’d lost it sometime in the las week and may have set it on her bumper. She said it could possibly be located about one mile north of Highway 10 on County Road J. Deputies didn’t find the phone.

At 8:55 a.m., police responded to 170th Street and Highway 10, Plum City, for a vehicle in the ditch. The vehicle had no damage.

Police were called at 9:59 a.m. to County Road CC and Highway 10, Maiden Rock, to a single-vehicle crash with no injury. The driver moved the vehicle on his own.

At 11:33 a.m., a caller reported a possible motor vehicle crash near 370th Avenue and 190th Street, Maiden Rock. Police found the driver walking and questioned him. The vehicle had heavy front-end damage.

Police were called at 12:20 p.m. to 510th Avenue and 750th Street, Ellsworth, for a vehicle in the ditch. Melstrom’s tugged the vehicle out, which had no damage.

Police responded at 3:31 p.m. to County Road J and Highway 65 in Beldenville for a two-vehicle crash with road blockage and injuries. Both drivers refused EMS and the vehicles were towed.

Deputies stopped to check on a man walking on the side of Highway 29 near 770th Avenue, River Falls, at 4:07 p.m. The man said he walks there every day. Police advised him to stay outside of the fog line.

Police saw a suspicious man walking near the road at 6:10 p.m. at Highway 65 and 770th Avenue, River Falls. The man declined a ride.

Deputies responded to a domestic reported by a third party at 7:43 p.m. at W2482 Highway 10, Maiden Rock. The man left the home for the evening.

Officers responded at 9:17 p.m. to W9341 830th Ave., River Falls, for a vehicle in the ditch. It had no damage; the owner said it would be removed in the morning.

Police responded at 10:09 p.m. to N8753 1010th St., River Falls, for an alleged domestic, reported by an anonymous caller. Police found adults plowing a driveway but no domestic.

Wednesday, Dec. 8

Deputies were called at 4:02 a.m. to the Pierce County Jail lobby for an agitated and intoxicated man who had been released from jail. They stood by until the man’s family came to pick him up.

At 7:50 a.m., police found a vehicle in the ditch at County Road W and 770th Avenue, River Falls. There were no injuries and Melstrom’s removed the vehicle per owner request.

Deputies talked to a Prescott parent about Prescott police and her son at 10:48 a.m. They advised her to take her concerns to the police chief or the city’s police commission.

At 4:23 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle had pulled up to a field drive at Highway 63 and County Road V, Hager City, and fallen asleep. Police couldn’t locate the vehicle.

Police advised drivers to act like adults in a road rage incident that occurred at 6:46 p.m. near Highway 10 and 50th Street, Plum City. One caller said the other vehicle brake checked him and flashed his lights. The other driver said he was being tailgated.

At 7:58 p.m., a caller informed police of text threats he’d been receiving at N1090 825th St., Hager City. Police informed him of his options. He said he’d block the harasser’s number.

Thursday, Dec. 9

Police checked on an open storage shed door at 2:28 a.m. at W7858 170th Ave., Hager City. All appeared OK.

Officers responded at 2:46 a.m. to a domestic at W6298 Main St., Bay City. The parties involved said it was just a verbal argument and taken out of context.

Police responded at 4:32 a.m. to W7659 Highway 35, Hager City, for an unwanted person who said he was there looking for his girlfriend. The caller said she wasn’t there and was an employee who cleaned his house a few days ago. The man was told to leave.

Police were informed of a vehicle slide-in at 9:56 a.m. at Highway 35 and 805th Street, Hager City. There was no damage.

A caller requested extra patrol at 3:49 p.m. for the weekend around W11210 620th Ave., Prescott.

Police investigated a trespassing complaint at 3:59 p.m. at 330th and 350th streets near Elmwood. The case is pending.

Callers reported a random four-wheeler parked in their yard at 5:48 p.m. at N5449 County Road E, Prescott. The registered owner said he’d sold it to the cable company working in the area last week. The cable company, when contacted, said they’d move it in the morning. They were told to obtain permission in the future before parking on others’ land.

Officers responded at 7:50 p.m. to W9590 295th Ave., Hager City, for a disturbance and out-of-control man. A man and woman later fled the residence, stealing a vehicle in the process.

At 9:14 p.m., police spoke to a complainant about property arrangements involving other family members at W7746 Highway 10, Ellsworth. They were advised it’s a civil matter.

Friday, Dec. 10

Police observed a stolen vehicle at 7:36 a.m. near Highway 29 and East Cascade Avenue in River Falls and performed a highrisk traffic stop. The male driver was arrested and transported to Pierce County Jail for take/operate motor vehicle without owner’s consent.

At 9:32 a.m., a complainant came to the sheriff’s office to report a burglary at N5183 860th St., Ellsworth. He said several items had been tampered with and that his brother was doing it through spirts and spells. He wanted the complaint documented.

Deputies assisted Spring Valley police with an unwanted person at 10:35 a.m. at S910 Beltline Road.

Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parking on 330th Avenue near 150th Street, Plum City, at 11:04 a.m. The woman said she was sitting there to have service for a court Zoom appearance.

Officers responded at 1:08 pm. To Highway 35/370th Avenue, Prescott, for a car vs. school bus crash.

At 1:30 p.m., a caller reported bank checks stolen from N4726 Highway 63, Ellsworth. She also identified a suspect. She was advised to contact her bank.

Officers were called at 3:57 p.m. to W5468 450th Ave., Ellsworth, for an unresponsive female. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police helped remove a truck stuck on the hill at 6:53 p.m. on Highway 128 at County Road B, Spring Valley.

Police assisted in removing a vehicle stuck on the hill at 7:05 p.m. at N1077 County Road U, Plum City.

Deputies assisted Spring Valley police with a disorderly person at 7:18 p.m. at S910 Beltline Road.

Officers helped a woman get her vehicle out of the ditch at 8:22 p.m. at County Road CC and 730th Avenue, Spring Valley, before following her to a safe location.

Deputies assisted a vehicle stuck in the road at 9:36 p.m. at Cemetery Road and 965th Street, River Falls.

Deputies assisted River Falls police with a car vs. pole crash at 9:39 p.m. at 100 N. Second St.

Saturday, Dec. 11

Police assisted a vehicle stuck in the snow at 3:48 a.m. at County Road QQ and 564th Avenue, Prescott.

Deputies assisted a vehicle stuck in the road at 5:06 a.m. at North Second and East Elm streets in River Falls.

Officers responded at 5:30 a.m. to a vehicle slide-in at 300th Avenue and 650th Street, Bay City. The vehicle had no damage and driver no injuries.

Police notified the highway department about a call from a citizen at 12:56 p.m. who was concerned her road (757th Avenue, River Falls) wasn’t cleared yet.

At 6:04 p.m., police responded to 295th Avenue and 990th Street, Hager City, to a vehicle slide-in with an unresponsive driver. The driver was intoxicated and arrested for OWI-fifth, operating after revocation and felony bail jumping.

Deputies responded at 10:58 p.m. to 114 Broad St., Prescott, to assist with an intoxicated bar crowd.

Sunday, Dec. 12

At 1:08 a.m., deputes assisted Minnesota law enforcement agencies and St. Croix County with a pursuit out of Minnesota at county road M and F near River Falls. PCSO helped establish a perimeter. A person was taken into custody.

Deputies assisted Prescott police with a suspicious activity complaint at 2:57 a.m. at 1048 Campbell St.

At 12:02 p.m., deputies were called to assist a DNR warden with a man found in the Mississippi River near Hager City. He was deceased and believed to be involved in an earlier boating accident. Goodhue County is investigating.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth Fire with a small shed fire at 12:22 p.m. at W5949 410th Ave., Ellsworth.

A complainant called in hunters at 1:53 p.m. near county roads SS and UU, Plum City, for possibly shooting across the road. All men had valid hunting licenses and no violations were observed.

At 3:51 p.m., police responded to W7960 370th Ave., Ellsworth, for a possible bond violation. A woman was arrested for a no-drink bond violation and taken to the hospital for medical clearance before being transported to the jail.

An employee reported a gas drive-off at 9:02 p.m. at N1817 785th St., Hager City. The suspect was driving a stolen vehicle.
