The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Nov. 1-8.

Monday, Nov. 1 Michael Lyle Girard, 56, Ellsworth, was arrested for battery or threat to judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer, OWI-seventh, felony bail jumping, resisting or obstructing an officer, possession of THC, and possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 6:59 a.m. Police had received a traffic complaint about a vehicle all over the road near Highway 10 and County Road J. Ellsworth police assisted deputies by locating the driver at his residence exiting the vehicle, where he resisted. He was also cited for operating left of center and having open intoxicants.

An officer rsponded at 11:15 a.m. to N3297 County Road CC, Maiden Rock, for an abandoned vehicle in the lot. The vehicle had no plates. The officer attempted to call the registered owner.

A missing wallet was reported at 5:31 p.m. from N673 825th St., Hager City.

Police arrested a man with an active extradition warrant at 7:21 p.m. at W7409 Highway 65, Beldenville.

Deputies responded at 7:23 p.m. to W7173 410th Ave., Ellsworth for a carbon monoxide alarm. The wood furnace was determined to be the cause. The occupants were advised to stay elsewhere until the problem could be fixed.

Police arrested a man at 8:24 p.m. at 117 Church St., River Falls, for a felony Pierce County warrant.

At 8:36 p.m., an officer was asked to check on a man near W3540 465th Ave., Ellsworth, who had gotten into an argument with a friend. Police gave the man a ride back to his vehicle and the parties separated for the evening.

Tuesday, Nov. 2

Deputies assisted River Falls police at 12:21 a.m. near 650th Street and Highway 29.

Officers responded at 2:57 a.m. to N1466 803rd St., Hager City for a shooting complaint. The complainant was cited for operating without a license (second) and the passenger was arrested on a probation warrant.

A complainant reported a large amount of garbage dumped in his front yard at 9:37 a.m. at W10134 Highway 29, River Falls. A highway truck picked up the garbage.

At 10:10 a.m., a caller reported a trespassing complaint at N7030 450th St., Beldenville. The complainant wanted the incident documented. Police tried to contact both parties involved and left voicemails.

At 11:10 a.m., a caller informed police that he had heard gunshots just after midnight and saw a vehicle stopped facing westbound on County Road PP near Elmwood. The vehicle then headed northbound on Highway 72. The caller located a blood trail along Highway 72 and was concerned about its source.

Police stopped at 2:03 p.m. near 130th Street and 430th Avenue, Plum City, to check on a suspicious vehicle without plates. The driver said they were bowhunting on public land nearby. Police warned him to get plates.

At 2:29 p.m., a caller found branches cut in the back of the property at N1680 County Road VV, Hager City. A suspect was identified, but denied cutting branches.

Officers responded at 4:50 p.m. to W6740 580th Ave., Ellsworth, for damage done to a parked vehicle. Photos and statements were collected.

A warden responded at 6 p.m. to 535th Street, Spring Valley, where someone was fishing in a trout stream after the season had closed.

Police were called at 6:11 p.m. to W419 N. Second St., where people looked as if they were kicked out of their apartment. They were gone when police arrived.

At 6:41 p.m., an upset caller from W2016 190thAve., Maiden Rock, told police he should be notified when trucks are hauling manure because the smell is powerful. He also complained about the dust they kick up. The officer asked if he spoke to the farmer, to which the man yelled and said it was PCSO’s issue. He was also advised to contact the town chair.

Eight cows on the loose were corralled into their pens at 7:43 p.m. near County Road CC and 250th Avenue, Maiden Rock.

Computer fraud was reported at 8:14 p.m. at W11874 526th Ave., Prescott.

After a traffic stop at 11:05 p.m. near N2112 County Road K, Hager City, a passenger was arrested for obstructing and a Minnesota felony warrant. The driver was cited for operating without a license.

Wednesday, Nov. 3

At 5:39 a.m., police and fire responded to N5001 1208th St., Prescott, where the homeowner said he smelled smoke in the lower level. Nothing was found.

Police responded to a deer vs. bus crash at 7:51 a.m. near County Road O and 710th Avenue, River Falls. The bus had minor damage.

Deputies responded to a brush fire at 1:12 p.m. at N7268 1090th St., River Falls.

Theft of road signs from County Road G/450th Street, Ellsworth, was reported at 2:39 p.m.

Officers responded at 8:19 p.m. to W11153 Highway 35, Prescott, where a man was located in the woods not breathing. They performed life-saving measures but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police responded to a bond violation complaint at 9:24 p.m. at N1582 County Road C, Bay City.

Deputies responded to a house fire at 11:31 p.m. at W8338 760th Ave., River Falls.

Thursday, Nov. 4

Deputies assisted Prescott police at 7:08 a.m. at 1215 Canton St.

Police checked on an abandoned trailer with a flat tire and no VIN at 8:42 a.m. at N4774 1065th St., Prescott. The complainant will call back if the trailer is not removed.

An employee reported a possible abandoned/stolen vehicle parked at Handy Mart in Bay City at 8:50 a.m. Attempted contact with the registered owner was not successful.

A driver was arrested for OWI and cited for possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for operating left of center and a defective brake lamp at N1090 825th St., Hager City. The passenger was also cited for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia.

At 8:38 p.m., a caller reported being followed by a stray, non-threatening pit bull in the 400 block of Maple Avenue in Plum City. An officer left a message for the village president.

A driver was arrested for OWI after a traffic stop at 9:18 p.m. at Highway 63 and 825th Street, Hager City. They were also cited for operating without a license and possession of THC.

An officer had to swerve to miss a man walking in the middle of the road at 9:59 p.m. near N1090 825th St., Hager City. Police gave him a courtesy ride home after he refused EMS.

A driver was arrested for OWIfourth after a traffic stop for defective tail lights at 10:30 p.m. at N1833 785th St., Hager City.

Deputies responded at 10:57 p.m. to N1090 825th St., Hager City, for a fight in progress. Police arrived and found two men wrestling in the grass. They were separated and one man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Police arrested a driver for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of THC after a traffic stop for speeding at 11:09 p.m. at Highway 63 and 825th Street, Hager City.

Friday, Nov. 5

Police arrested a driver on various drug charges and operating without a valid license after a traffic stop for an equipment violation at 12:05 a.m. near Highway 63 and 810th Street, Hager City.

Deputies arrested a driver for possession of methamphetamine and possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 12:25 a.m. at Highway 63 and 825th Street, Hager City, for expired registration.

A caller reported potholes in the 300 block of North Second Street in Spring Valley at 9:35 a.m. He wanted police to notify the highway department to remove them.

Police responded at 2:59 p.m. to N3503 County Road A, Maiden Rock, for a trespassing complaint. The people were told to leave the property.

A caller reported a catalytic converter theft at 4:14 p.m. near County Road A and Highway 35 in Maiden Rock. The theft occurred while the caller was out for a run.

Police arrested a woman on a PCSO warrant at 7:01 p.m. at N8712 862nd St., River Falls.

Deputies assisted River Falls police at 7:56 p.m. at N4954 Highway 63, Ellsworth, with a man who had stolen a phone and fled from officers.

Police responded at 9:52 p.m. to W9747 710th Ave., River Falls, for a vehicle alarm. Nothing was found.

Police responded at 10:15 p.m. to 810 First St., Plum City, for a suspicious person knocking on doors. The person was from an oxygen delivery company.

At 10:38 p.m., police witnessed flashlights in the campground at W6490 Lake Pepin Blvd., Bay City, after hours. They found signs that someone had been there recently, but no people were found.

Saturday, Nov. 6

Police responded at 6:36 a.m. to 182 Evergreen Estates, Ellsworth, for a possible assault. Police determined the man had given consent for the altercation and he denied EMS.

Police arrested a driver for possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia with a weapon after a traffic stop for speeding at 9:58 a.m. near County Road EE and Highway 35 in Bay City.

A complainant called police at 12:36 p.m. to come to W11788 840th Ave., River Falls, for a civil matter. He said his neighbor was taking out and replacing fence on the property line. The neighbor said he was just replacing the old fence and clearing out brush. The complainant was told to pursue the matter through civil court if he believes the fence was moved.

At 12:45 p.m., police responded to W440 County Road Z, Arkansaw, for a vehicle dispute. The complainant had switched vehicles with someone but suspects the other party stole parts from a vehicle on the property. He wanted to switch vehicles back. Police attempted to contact the suspect.

At 12:46 p.m., a caller reported they were going to combine a field at W9163 690th Ave., River Falls, but needed to take the neighbor’s fence down to do so. There is an ongoing dispute between the two sides, who are brothers.

Police arrested a driver for a warrant after a traffic stop for operating after revocation at 2:25 p.m. near Highway 29 and 1170th Street, Prescott.

Police responded to a brush fire at 3:07 p.m. at N5022 County Road DD, Ellsworth.

Officers were called at 6:10 p.m. to N2717 County Road K, Hager City, for an illegal dumping complaint.

Deputies assisted the DNR at 6:11 p.m. near 370th Avenue and 450th Street, Ellsworth, with a trespassing complaint.

Sunday, Nov. 7

At 12:53 p.m., a caller at N5500 90th St., Elmwood, reported a neighboring landowner driving through his hay field to get to his tree stand. The neighbor said he’d been given permission years ago. The landowner said the man no longer has that permission; he is leasing the property for crops. The neighbor said he’d find an alternate route.

A caller reported damage to a dock at 3:14 p.m. at N1705 860th St., Hager City. Two cabin renters notified the property owner that a two-story white boat had passed the dock from less than 100 feet away and the wake caused damage. The suspect said he went by, but not close and not fast.

Police responded to a suspicious activity complaint at 7:50 p.m. near W4472 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. A man walking along the guardrail said his phone had fallen off the holder on his motorcycle and he was looking for it.

At 9:50 p.m., police attempted to find a man walking down the highway near County Road DD and Highway 72 in dark clothes. The man, who was pulling into a driveway near the location, said he was looking for his friend. He was cited for operating without a license (second).

Monday, Nov. 8

Police responded to a car on fire at 7:36 a.m. on North Main Street in Elmwood. Elmwood Fire arrived first and put out the fire, which was coming from the vehicle’s front passenger wheel well. It was caused by a fuel leak.
