The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Oct. 18-24.

Monday, Oct. 18

A deputy responded to a deer vs. car crash at 7:05 a.m. at 150th Avenue and Highway 35 near Bay City. Police couldn’t locate the deer.

At 9:30 a.m., Pierce County Highway Department notified PCSO it was closing 70th Street near County Road S for the day.

A caller reported at 12:37 p.m. two men acting suspiciously earlier in the morning near 280th Avenue and Highway 10 near Plum City. When the caller drove by, both men averted their faces as if to hide their identities. They were standing next to a white Ford Edge and appeared to be switching or stealing license plates.

Deputies were called at 3:50 p.m. to respond to a hay baler on fire in a field at N380 180th St., Stockholm. Lund Fire had the fire out prior to police arrival.

Police took a 911 call at 7:35 p.m. from W1425 Westview Court, Spring Valley. A man was heard asking for help while a woman was heard saying everything was OK. The man appeared to have been hallucinating. He decided he didn’t need law enforcement help.

Tuesday, Oct. 19

A welfare check was requested at 8:05 a.m. concerning a woman allegedly trying to wave down passing vehicles at County Road O and Highway 65 near River Falls. Police didn’t find the woman.

At 9:03 a.m., police were called for a domestic incident near 650th Street and County Road N in Beldenville. The man fled before police arrived. Police gathered information from the woman involved. When police interviewed the man later in the day, he was arrested for multiple charges.

At 1:42 p.m., police received a driving complaint that occurred at W11802 Highway 29, Prescott. One man left before the complainant could get a license plate number, but the complainant took a photo and will attempt to get the license plate number for the man who left.

A caller requested extra patrol for speeders at 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. near 170th Avenue and 770th Street in Hager City. The request was made at 4:20 p.m.

Deputies assisted River Falls police with a welfare check at 4:33 p.m. at 427 W. Division St.

Police arrested a man for a PCSO warrant at 5:34 p.m. at N7112 1170th St., Prescott.

Deputies arrested a woman for a PCSO warrant at 8:10 p.m. at 394 S. Gibbs St., Prescott.

Wednesday, Oct. 20

At 1:07 a.m., a deputy saw vehicle operating all over the road near highways 35 and 63 in Hager City. The driver was arrested for OWI and multiple Milwaukee warrants.

At 2:38 a.m., an officer found a person camping in the ditch at Highway 63 and 825th Street South in Hager City. The person was OK and was on a bike tour. They were advised to move out of the ditch.

After a traffic stop at 4:42 a.m. near 650thAvenue and Highway 65 in Beldenville, the driver was cited for operating without a license (second) and bail jumping charges were referred.

At 7:43 a.m., deputies assisted River Falls police with a barricaded suspect at 105 N. Main St., River Falls. The person eventually surrendered.

An officer spoke to a complainant at 8:29 a.m. who said a man had been in their Porta Potti at 10 a.m. Oct. 19 at N7536 1126th St., Prescott. The man wore a blue shirt and orange stocking cap. He left on foot.

At 9:01 a.m., a deputy took a trespassing/hunting complaint that occurred near County Road A and Highway 10, Ellsworth.

Deputies assisted Red Wing police with looking for a vehicle at 12:29 p.m. at N6148 170th St., Elmwood. The vehicle was not located.

Police responded at 1 p.m. to W6490 Lake Pepin Blvd., Bay City, for an injured bird. They notified the DNR.

At 3:09 p.m., police took a complaint call about an unwanted woman at N1484 810th St., Hager City. Family members had argued over property.

At 4:57 p.m., a deputy cleared the roadway of a large electrical construction light that appeared to have fallen off a construction vehicle, near 280th Street/Highway 10, Maiden Rock.

At 6:36 p.m., a caller reported that while he was parking his truck at S226 McKay Ave., Spring Valley, he struck the flag handle on a light pole and bent the bar. Police attempted to notify the village.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 9:46 p.m. at N3999 730th St., Ellsworth. Resources and options were provided.

Thursday, Oct. 21

Police responded at 2:59 a.m. for an alarm at W7409 Highway 65, Beldenville. An open window was located, but nothing was out of place and no one was in the building.

Deputies responded at 10:16 a.m. to N1582 County Road C, Bay City, for an unwanted woman. She agreed to leave the property.

A caller reported a suspicious Best Buy delivery man showing up at the house and dropping off suspicious items at 5:20 p.m. at N7781 1185th St., Ellsworth.

Deputies assisted River Falls police at 6:16 p.m. at 700 N. Main St.

At 7:05 p.m., officers attempted to help people whose horses were out at N7760 County Road W, River Falls.

At 10:34 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle with defective tail lights and caught up with it at 610 E. Main St., Ellsworth. The driver was arrested for operating while revoked (alcohol related), failure to install ignition interlock device and a probation violation.

Friday, Oct. 22

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 2:31 a.m. at Summit Park (100 W. Grove St., Ellsworth).

An officer was called at 4:55 a.m. to a car vs. deer crash near 280th Avenue and Highway 63, Hager City. The officer dispatched the deer and gave the driver a ride home. The vehicle was towed.

At 6:24 a.m., a caller reported an unwanted woman who was heading to his mother’s house and police caught up with her at Handy Mart (W6274 Highway 35, Bay City.) She was told to stay away from the mother’s house and she left town peacefully.

Police responded at 6:23 a.m. to W500 N. Second St., Spring Valley, for a hit/deceased dog, who was mostly black and white. Police canvassed the neighborhood, but no one knew who the dog belonged to.

At 11:22 a.m., a woman was arrested at N1582 County Road C, Bay City, for contempt of court and misdemeanor bail jumping.

At 3:14 p.m., police responded to N3671 County Road C, Ellsworth, to collect a bag the complainant had found in the ditch. The bag contained drug-related items and a used checkbook with an Oshkosh address.

Officers responded at 7:10 p.m. to N1640 733rd St., Hager City, for an intoxicated person that police later discovered was involved in a domestic incident and a motor vehicle crash with injury.

Police were called at 10:28 p.m. to N5121 530th St., Ellsworth, for an unconscious woman who was not breathing. Deputies performed life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Saturday, Oct. 23

Police responded at 7:45 a.m. to N1582 County Road C, Bay City, where a woman was violating a court order again. She was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping, contempt of court and stalking.

Police were notified of a downed stop sign at 10:57 a.m. at 410th Street and 770th Avenue near Spring Valley. The post was broken off at the bottom.

At 1:10 p.m., Red Wing Mayo Hospital emergency room notified police of an animal complaint. A patient at the ER said he could not eat due to the smell at N854 County Road S, Maiden Rock. He said there were 18 dogs in the house. When police entered the residence with permission, it was found to be unlivable. Six dogs were removed by friends and Hudson Animal Control removed the rest.

A caller complained at 2:48 p.m. about juveniles raking leaves onto the boulevard in front of her house in the 300 block of South Main Street in Elmwood. The juveniles were asked to stop and their mother was contacted.

A caller reported loose goats at 5:08 p.m. at N7521 Highway 65, River Falls. The goats went back in their pen when police arrived, but officers couldn’t reach their owner.

Police arrested a man at 6:22 p.m. at N5076 860th St., Ellsworth for a probation warrant.

At 8:28 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for incorrect displayed license plates near N1817 785th St., Hager City. The officer warned the driver for improper display, no insurance, defective brake light, bald tires and failure to transfer title. The driver was cited for expired registration. The vehicle’s passenger was listed as a missing person in another county. PCSO contacted that county and the person was removed from the missing person list.

Sunday, Oct. 24

PCSO was asked to respond at 2:32 a.m. to 117 Broad St. in Prescott for a fight. The request was cancelled before they arrived.

Police were requested to check on a man walking in the roadway at 4:27 a.m. near 1200th Street and Highway 35 near Prescott. Police gave the man a courtesy ride to his brother’s house Officers responded at 4:02 p.m. to W6322 Main St., Bay City, for a theft that had occurred Friday morning. An enclosed trailer, two snowmobiles and an ice fishing house were reported stolen.

At 7:21 p.m., a woman reported an unwanted man at 519 W. May Ave., Elmwood. The man was told to stay away and stop all contact.

After a traffic stop at 10:45 p.m. near 610th Street and Highway 63, Ellsworth, a man was arrested for possession with intent – THC, possess drug paraphernalia, felony bail jumping (two counts) and misdemeanor bail jumping.
