PIERCE COUNTY Sheriff’s Office Reports
The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Oct. 11-18.
Monday, Oct. 11
At 8:51 a.m., deputies responded to a property damage vehicle crash at N8604 U.S. Highway 63, Baldwin.
The sheriff’s office was notified of a two-vehicle crash with no injuries or road blockage at 9:22 a.m. at W10780 Highway 10, Prescott. State Patrol handled the crash.
An officer responded at 2:46 p.m. to Highway 63 for a running, loose dog. The officer returned the dog to its owner at N4932 Highway 63, Ellsworth.
Officers responded at 5:25 p.m. to W4890 Highway 29, Spring Valley, for an assault. The suspect was not there; police sent out a bulletin to neighboring counties.
Police spoke with a complainant at 5:34 p.m. about a trespassing complaint at W9674 770th Ave., River Falls.
At 6:02 p.m., an officer took a report about a neighbor who had cut two barbed wire fences on the property line at W9163 690thAve., River Falls. Police gathered photos and information from both parties.
Tuesday, Oct. 12
Officers assisted Ellsworth police at 12:39 a.m. by giving a man a courtesy ride from 325 W. Main St., Ellsworth, to Hoffman Park in River Falls.
Police responded at 6:20 a.m. to W4387 Highway 72, Ellsworth, for an unwanted person. Police arrested the person for OWI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 9:47 a.m., officers reported to N1582 County Road C, Bay City, for an unwanted person. A woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping.
A suspicious person was reported at 12:23 p.m. at W8110 770th Ave., River Falls.
At 10:38 p.m., deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 140 Evergreen Estates, Ellsworth.
Wednesday, Oct. 13
A man was found deceased on the bathroom floor at 7:58 a.m. at W3735 270th Ave., Maiden Rock. The death was not suspicious in nature.
At 8:50 a.m., a man reported someone driving past his house near County Road C and 165thAvenue in Bay City and flipping the middle finger at his flags. Police advised the complainant that that was the suspect’s right to freedom of speech.
At 9:52 a.m., police responded to N1582 County Road C, Bay City, where a woman refused to leave the residence under a law enforcement order. The woman agreed to leave and a plan was set up for when she could be at the residence.
A Beldenville caller reported by phone at 11:20 a.m. an assault that allegedly occurred in 2017 by a boss.
A downed tree was reported at 12:35 p.m. at 350th Avenue and Highway 63, Ellsworth. The Highway Department took care of the debris.
Another downed tree was blocking traffic at 4:20 p.m. at 430th Street and 465th Avenue near Ellsworth. The deputy opened up one traffic lane and notified the township.
At 6:01 p.m., a Bay City resident called with questions regarding a couch she gave to a second-hand store. The store accepted the couch, but called her and told her to come get it. The store apparently threatened legal action if she doesn’t pick it up. An officer said it was a civil matter, but could see no legal action the store could take since they willingly accepted the donation.
At 11:46 p.m., police attempted to stop a motorcycle at 570th Avenue and 740th Street near Ellsworth. The motorcycle’s registered owner had no valid license. The motorcycle fled and police called off the pursuit for safety reasons.
Thursday, Oct. 14
At 4:21 a.m., a caller reported an injured man yelling from a tree line at N7831 920th St., River Falls. It was unclear why he was in the tree line or how he injured himself. EMS transported him to the hospital.
At 9:44 a.m., police responded to N1582 County Road C, Bay City, where a woman again refused to leave a residence though an order said she has to. She finally agreed to leave.
A complainant reported a threat at 12:40 p.m. at W7193 450th Ave., Ellsworth. A former friend has threatened to come onto the property and steal a trailer, and also mentioned having a gun. The caller requested extra patrol due to the person’s history.
At 5:25 p.m., officers responded to N8323 650th St., River Falls, for an unwanted woman. Both parties agreed the woman would move out the following day and to remain civil the rest of the evening.
At 7:49 p.m. dispatch received a call from a man intending to end his life. Deputies responded to the area of 570th Avenue and County Road CC near Elmwood and found a man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At 8:37 p.m., deputies took a report of a sexual assault from a rural Ellsworth resident.
Officers responded at 9:58 p.m. to W7377 Highway 10, Ellsworth, for a possible shooting complaint. Property owners in the area said fireworks had been going off earlier.
At 11:20 p.m., a caller requested deputies respond to 610 E. Main St. for a possible drug deal going down. The call was cancelled prior to police arrival.
Friday, Oct. 15
A power company reported electricity theft at 11:42 a.m. at W10045 290th Ave., Hager City. The company wanted it documented for its records.
Officers responded at 3:20 p.m. to highways 29 and 63 north near Martell for a two-vehicle crash with injury.
Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at 5:20 p.m. at 610th Street and Highway 10 near Ellsworth.
Police were asked to check the area at 7:24 p.m. for someone possibly laser beaming airplanes near Acres Road and Highway 29 in Prescott. No one was located.
At 7:49 p.m., extra patrol was requested on 730th Street in rural Ellsworth.
Saturday, Oct. 16
A caller reported a stolen silver-colored mailbox post at 10:04 a.m. from W6444 570th Ave., Ellsworth. The post was taken sometime between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. Oct. 15.
At 11:15 a.m., a caller reported a downed tree in the road at 570th Street and Highway 35 near Bay City. Highway was notified.
At 12:43 p.m. officers responded to N1582 County Road C, Bay City, for an unwanted woman who was not supposed to be there due to an order. Police confirmed the order and the woman left.
At 3:52 p.m., deputies were asked to locate a person involved in an accident in Red Wing, at W5774 Highway 10, Ellsworth. Police found the person and gave information to Red Wing police.
Officers responded at 4:12 p.m. to County Road QQ and Highway 10, Prescott, for a multiple vehicle crash with multiple injuries.
A driving complaint made at 11:50 p.m. concerning a vehicle swerving in and out of its lane while heading southbound on Highway 35 from Prescott resulted in an OWI and possess drug paraphernalia arrest. Police found the vehicle on Highway 35 near 830th Street.
Sunday, Oct. 17
A suspicious vehicle with Iowa plates and three occupants was reported at 3:31 p.m. at 620th Street and County Road V near Ellsworth. Police could not locate the vehicle.
Police responded at 8:42 p.m. to N1299 825th St., Hager City, for suspicious activity. A woman said she was almost struck by another driver and had pulled off the roadway to compose herself. Police advised her to take all the time she needed.
Monday, Oct. 18
Officers again responded at 12:28 a.m. to N1582 County Road C, Bay City, where an unwanted woman banned from the property by a court order showed up and wouldn’t leave. When law enforcement arrived, she left. Officers forwarded a report to the proper agency.
