The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Sept. 20-26.

Monday, Sept. 20

Officers were called at 1:09 p.m. to 330th Avenue/Highway 10 near Maiden Rock for a trailer in the ditch. Polzer Brothers of Durand towed the trailer out. Police made contact with the owner.

Police received a report at 2:49 p.m. of a woman who scratched a bar top with her fingernails at W3515 Highway 35, Maiden Rock and caused damage three days earlier. The woman admitted her actions and received a citation for damage to property. The bar owner also banned her from the bar.

Deputies assisted Elmwood police at 5:50 p.m. at N6433 Highway 72, Elmwood.

An officer removed a tree from the road at 6:32 p.m. at 125thAvenue/Highway 35 near Bay City.

Tuesday, Sept. 21

An officer investigated a vehicle parked with its lights on in the River Falls High School (818 Cemetery Road) parking lot at 2:46 a.m. Two college students were in the vehicle talking.

Police cited three people and warned one for failure to stop at stop sign from 6:49-7:28 a.m. at 480th Avenue and County Road O.

At 10:56 a.m., a resident reported his dog being hit by a black Chevy Equinox on the roadway at W12152 757th Ave., River Falls.

A caller reported a burglary at 1:22 p.m. at N8323 650th St., River Falls. It was unknown if anything was missing.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a warrant arrest at 6:01 p.m. at 134 N. Beulah St.

Deputies helped repair a flat tire at 6:39 p.m. near 740th Street/Highway 65, Beldenville. The driver was able to then get it back to the auto shop.

At 7:52 p.m., officers responded to N1713 County Road EE, Bay City, for a deceased man. Interviews and photos were collected.

Officers were called at 8:54 p.m. to N7748 Highway 63, Spring Valley, where a truck hauling silage had tipped over in the ditch. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, Sept. 22 Officers received a complaint of cattle in a yard at 3 a.m. at W3523 850th Ave., Spring Valley. Officers and the homeowners were able to get them back into a pasture. The owner was called to come retrieve his animals. At 9:49 a.m., an officer responded to W3825 110th Ave., Maiden Rock, for a stolen Stihl hedge trimmer and three gas cans from a storage shed at the cemetery. The theft occurred sometime between 1:30-4:30 p.m.

At 11:05 p.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle coming out of a vacant property near 110th Avenue/County Road S, Maiden Rock. The driver mows the property for the sand mine.

Deputies received a report of a possible stolen trailer at 11:57 a.m. at W7562 Highway 10, Ellsworth.

Officers responded at 4:14 p.m. to W8913 340th Ave., Hager City, for a possible harassment complaint. The caller had concerns about activities he believe were happening on the property. Officers spoke to the people involved.

PCSO assisted Dunny County at 11:25 p.m. at Highway 72 and Pine Street in Elmwood.

Officers responded at 11:35 p.m. to N8652 940th St., River Falls, for a possible disorderly person. A complainant said his friend was intoxicated and tried to punch him. Police separated the parties and the friend stayed in a tent for the night.

Thursday, Sept. 23

A resident logged a barking dog complaint at 7:07 a.m. at W7617 170thAve., Hager City. The complainant was told to contact the town chair. A deputy checked the area but didn’t locate a dog barking.

Police responded at 1:57 p.m. to W6453 610th Ave., Ellsworth, for an unwanted person. A female was asked to leave and did so without incident.

Someone found a box of rings in his field at 4:07 p.m. near 230th Avenue/County Road D, Bay City. The property was returned to the owner.

At 5:07 p.m., a complainant called in a male driving a loud mini bike on Lake Pepin Boulevard in Bay City. An officer spoke to the driver and told him not to drive the bike on the street.

At 6:09 p.m., an officer saw a motorcycle tip over after attempting to traverse the roundabout at Cemetery Road and Highway 65 in River Falls. Both driver and passenger refused EMS. The motorcycle had no damage.

At 8:57 p.m., an officer checked on a vehicle pulled over at 770th Street/Highway 35, Hager City. The driver was trying to get a spider out of the cab.

Friday, Sept. 24

Officers responded at 4:49 a.m. to N6951 750th St., Beldenville, for an unresponsive man. They performed lifepreserving measures until EMS arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

At 12:30 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious man driving a white van near N4815 1165th St., Prescott. The man was not found.

A possible burglary was reported at 4:38 p.m. at W3856 Highway 10, Maiden Rock.

A homeowner located possible illegal narcotics at 6:55 p.m. at W7475 145th Ave., Hager City. The items were taken to be destroyed.

At 8:48 p.m., deputies assisted River Falls police at 1450 S. Wasson Lane for a possible gun shots report. They determined the report may have been false.

Deputies located two vehicles parked along the road at 8:51 p.m. at highways 29 and 63 South in Martell. One man had a warrant and was arrested.

Saturday, Sept. 25

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a crash at 4:17 a.m. at 580th Avenue and North Maple Street in Ellsworth. The driver was arrested for OWI. The vehicle had no damage.

At 10:14 a.m., officers assisted Prescott police in picking up a juvenile who had run away from a residence in the 400 block of South Young Street.

A caller reported illegal garbage dumping at 11:06 a.m. near 410th Street and Highway 29 near Spring Valley. The township was notified.

A caller reported a vehicle all over the roadway at 1:31 p.m. near Highway 65 and County Road W, River Falls. The male driver was brought to the hospital for medical purposes. Citations for possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia will be mailed.

An officer witnessed a truck pull out of the church parking lot at 8:13 p.m. at County Road DD/Highway 63, Ellsworth. The garage door was open. The drive was putting out signs for a church supper.

At 10:19 p.m., a caller reported noisy cows at W1953 190th Ave., Maiden Rock. The cows and calves had been separated intentionally. No issues were noted.

Sunday, Sept. 26

Officers found a man sleeping behind the wheel of a running vehicle at 12:23 a.m. at W6454 Highway 25, Bay City. He admitted to driving to the parking lot. He was arrested for OWI-first.

A smashed mailbox was reported at 7:34 a.m. in the area of 450th Avenue/750th Street, Ellsworth.

At 9:22 a.m., a complainant reported juveniles had toilet papered and “fork and spooned” their yard, spread glitter and flour and thrown eggs at N5262 430th St., Ellsworth. Police contacted all parents of the suspected juveniles who said they would deal with their children accordingly.

A caller reported a stolen red GMC three-quarter ton pickup at 9:47 a.m. at W9740 Highway 10, Hager City.

Police responded at 11:43 a.m. to N1891 830th St., Hager City, for a trespassing complaint. People were located on private property and cited for trespassing.

Officers assisted Prescott police at 3:20 p.m. at 445 N. Court St. (the former hospital).

At 6:03 p.m., officers reported to W8001 County Road J, Beldenville, for a motorcycle crash with injury. Lifelink flew the driver to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Deputies responded at 6:39 p.m. to N2112 County Road K, Hager City, for illegal deer carcass dumping. Police located the dumper and warned them to pick up the deer carcasses.

Officers responded at 8:44 p.m. to W7975 140th Ave., Hager City, for a domestic in progress. A man was arrested for disorderly conduct.

At 11:31 p.m., a woman with an active warrant was arrested without incident at 1200 S. Main St., River Falls.
