PIERCE COUNTY Sheriff’s Office Reports
The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Aug. 30 through Sept. 7.
Monday, Aug. 30
At 12:38 p.m., a deputy dragged a downed tree off the roadway at 170th Street/740th Avenue, Spring Valley.
At 1:09 p.m., a complainant reported damage to a lock on a storage container at W245 County Road PP, Elmwood. Nothing was taken.
At 1:50 p.m., officers responded to a civil matter at N12385 848th Ave., River Falls. The complainant said either a plow truck or road grader is damaging his driveway. Police notified the township.
Deputies assisted while the township removed a downed tree at 2:24 p.m. at 250th Avenue/ County Road CC, Maiden Rock.
At 4:07 p.m., an employee at Nestle Purina (N1725 805th St., Hager City), requested it be documented that they dismissed an employee that day in case there were problems.
At 4:23 p.m., deputies were notified that a man has been trespassed from Team Oil (W2555 Highway 29, Spring Valley) for making inappropriate comments to female staff.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth Fire with a fire alarm at 4:41 p.m. at N1874 670th St., Bay City.
At 7:29 p.m., officers responded to N8483 County Road W, River Falls, for a disorderly person. A woman was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and battery.
Tuesday, Aug. 31
At 9:06 a.m., deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at County Road O and Highway 65 in the town of River Falls. A female driver refused medical transport and was given a courtesy ride home.
At 9:07 a.m., deputies attempted to contact a person whose property (W7306 161st Ave., Hager City) had been toilet-papered. Contact was not successful.
At 9:29 a.m., a complainant reported a brown horse on the loose on 840th Street, Ellsworth. The horse was put into a fenced-in area.
At 10:16 a.m., a woman complained that the road construction at County Road ZZ/Highway 10, Plum City, did not have enough signs and lights. Officers notified the highway department of the complaint.
Deputies responded at 11:55 a.m. to W5606 410th Ave., Ellsworth, where a man was trapped in a trench. Officers assisted Ellsworth Fire and EMS.
At 12:35 p.m., a complainant reported a suspicious person hanging around the educational forest at 410th Street/Highway 29, Spring Valley.
At 7:52 p.m., a complainant reported that a suspicious man stopped by his residence while his daughter was home alone at a 590th Street residence in Spring Valley and claimed he worked for a company and had work to do. She refused to let him in. She could not get a vehicle description or license plate.
Officers received a shooting complaint at 11:52 p.m. at N7278 County Road O, River Falls. The shots’ source was not located.
Wednesday, Sept. 1
At 2:11 a.m., deputies assisted Prescott police at Borner Street/Orrin Road.
At 2:22 a.m., deputies assisted River Falls police at 62 E. Cascade Ave.
At 6:58 a.m., a complainant reported a van parked in his driveway at W3390 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. The van’s owner works for the complainant’s wife and said he was on his way there to remove the vehicle. Extra patrol was requested at 9:35 a.m. near 1142nd Street/564th Avenue, Prescott, due to a suspicious vehicle.
Deputies took a report of dogs on the loose at 1:37 p.m. at W8981 640th Ave., Ellsworth. A dog reportedly killed a cat. The complainant said this is an ongoing issue. The parties agreed to a resolution concerning the cat; the dogs’ owner received a warning.
A complainant reported a possible foreign substance placed into a fuel system at 2:49 p.m. at W11934 769th Ave., River Falls.
At 4:12 p.m., officers received a 911 call from 1121 W. Industrial Road, Elmwood. A resident didn’t want to go to the dining room for dinner.
At 6:45 p.m., a complainant reported men showing up at W7659 Highway 35, Hager City, and yelling outside the residence to speak with a man. Officers collected statements and information.
Deputies assisted EMS at 9:55 p.m. at N6877 County Road N, Beldenville.
Thursday, Sept. 2
At 12:56 a.m., deputies assisted Prescott police with a man who had fled from the Minnesota State Patrol at Broad Street and Highway 10.
At 1:20 a.m., officers checked the area of the Harbor Bar (N1090 825th St., Hager City) for possible underage individuals who had been drinking at the Woodshed and caused a verbal altercation. The underagers were identified in the Harbor Bar parking lot.
A complainant reported damage to fence posts and his yard at 7:14 a.m. at N4106 County Road O, Hager City. The damage is caused from construction trucks turning around in his driveway and north field road. He was advised it’s a civil issue.
At 11:58 a.m., a woman reported a white, Husky-like dog that has come at her and her daughter on multiple occasions while they’re walking near W9778 290th Ave., Hager City. The dog nipped at the woman, but didn’t break skin. Police warned the dog’s owner for a dog at large violation.
Officers performed a welfare check at 1 p.m. of a person living in a storage unit at W7858 170thAve., Hager City. The person was fine.
At 10:48 p.m., PCSO received multiple complaints of a man yelling and firing a weapon at N7420 County Road O, River Falls. One man was arrested for second degree reckless endangerment, intoxicated use of a firearm, disorderly conduct and possession of THC/paraphernalia. He was taken to Pierce County Jail.
At 11:45 p.m., deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a shooting complaint at Sunset Lane/Terrace Avenue.
Friday, Sept. 3
At 9:08 a.m., a complainant at W5833 County Road N, Beldenville, reported she had given her rent money to an 8year-old kid to give to the landlord. The complainant didn’t know if they boy had given the landlord the money. Police advised her to make better decisions.
Police were notified at 9:50 a.m. of several loose, light brown cows on 490th Avenue east of County Road DD near Ellsworth. The cows were put back in a fenced-in area.
Suspicious activity was reported at 12:22 p.m. at N8020 975th St., River Falls. A neighbor reported an open garage door. The residence owner said he forgot to close the door and asked that it be shut.
At 5:53 p.m., a deputy assisted a citizen with a flat tire at W12495 Highway 10, Prescott.
A dead eagle was removed from the road at 6:13 p.m. at Highway 63/760th Avenue, Spring Valley. The DNR was notified.
Saturday, Sept. 4
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 4:25 a.m. at Broadway Avenue/Main Street.
At 5:58 a.m., a complainant reported a vehicle sitting at the end of a driveway at W9749 818th Ave., River Falls. It was someone waiting for another person.
At 7:35 a.m., a resident reported several horses missing at N6443 1317th St., Prescott. The horses were located and returned.
A person was found deceased in their residence at 8:13 a.m. at W528 Park Drive, Spring Valley.
At 11:30 a.m., a resident reported someone had struck her residence at N5548 County Road E, Prescott, with pink paint balls. No damage was done, but the incident was documented.
At 5:55 p.m., deputies responded to 1050th Street/Highway 35, Prescott, for single-motorcycle crash. Livesaving measures were performed, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Prescott police assisted at the scene.
Officers checked the area at 7:30 p.m. near County Road J/Highway 63, Spring Valley, for a rolling domestic. No one was found.
At 7:36 p.m., a man was reported for walking on the roadway near Highway 63/825th Street South, Hager City, with a handgun. No one was located.
Sunday, Sept. 5
Deputies responded at 12:20 a.m. to 134 Pine Ave., Plum City, for an assault. One person was arrested for disorderly conduct.
A resident at 872 Cairns St., Ellsworth, reported a running vehicle in the yard at 4:39 a.m. A man was passed out behind the wheel with open intoxicants in the vehicle. He was arrested for OWI.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a domestic at 10:53 a.m. at 410 Cairns St.
At 11:25 a.m., a complainant observed someone removing a Skidsteer from his property at W2349 Highway 72, Elmwood. An authorized person removed the machinery.
Officers responded at 1:05 p.m. to a verbal argument over property at W7858 170th Ave., Hager City. The parties agreed to separate.
Deputies were called at 7:02 p.m. to N1582 County Road C, Bay City, for a verbal domestic. The man had already left the scene, but police made contact with him later. Both parties were advised that disorderly conduct charges were being filed.
Police checked on two suspicious vehicles at 8:52 p.m. parked at storage units at W7740 520th Ave., Ellsworth. Both people had storage units there and the keys to them.
Officers were called at 9:17 p.m. to W6621 610th Ave., Ellsworth, for a threats complaint.
