Monday, Aug. 16
At 10 a.m., a complainant reported seeing an unidentified man walking through private property at 11:10 p.m. Aug. 12 near County Road A / Highway 10. The complainant had photos to review.
Deputies assisted with a standby/keep the peace at 5:40 p.m. at W7836 490th Ave., Ellsworth.
At 5:59 p.m., officers responded to W6534 Carson St., Bay City, where a man was yelling at his neighbors. He was warned.
Tuesday, Aug. 17
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with suspicious activity at 2:11 a.m. at 145 Railroad Ave. N.
At 11:50 a.m., a resident requested deputies check N8336 690th St., River Falls, for any signs of forced entry. Deputies walked around the property several times and found nothing out of the ordinary.
At 12:44 p.m., deputies responded to N1823 785th St., Hager City, where a man was requesting to view the business’s surveillance video to see if he lost his wallet there. Police reviewed the recordings and took a statement from the cashier.
At 5:25 p.m., a complainant reported a dead body being loaded into a van at W7670 Highway 10, Ellsworth. The van belonged to Quality Stretchers and was bringing a person, who was alive, home.
At 9:17 p.m., someone reported a suspicious man in a restroom at 1003 First St., Plum City. The man said he was homeless. Police gave him a ride to a hotel in Red Wing. The man donated his bike to the village of Plum City.
Wednesday, Aug. 18
A complainant called police at 1:08 a.m. from W1980 50th Ave., Stockholm, and reported his wife missing. He said she was in Duluth, but he couldn’t get ahold of her. Duluth police checked the residence at which she was staying and located her car there.
Runaway llamas visited a yard at 8:27 a.m. at W7054 610th Ave., Ellsworth. The owners retrieved their furry friends.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a baby locked in a running car at 10:03 a.m. at N6253 1323rd St., Prescott.
Deputies assisted a senior, disabled man back across the Rush River after her got stuck at 12:49 p.m. on 425th Street. He had no injuries.
At 2:33 p.m., a complainant requested a welfare check on an overdue fisherman. The man was located fishing north of bridge on 690thAvenue near Spring Valley.
A complainant called PCSO at 3:48 p.m. to report an intoxicated man had picked up a child at daycare at S1450 County Road CC, Spring Valley. A report was forwarded to the man’s probation officer and Child Protective Services.
Deputies arrested a person on a probation warrant at 7 p.m. at W1173 Maryann St., Spring Valley.
Thursday, Aug. 19
Deputies arrested a driver on a felony St. Croix County warrant during a traffic stop at 9:59 a.m. at 620th Street/Highway 29, River Falls.
Medication theft was reported at 12:56 p.m. at 210 Maple Ave. W., Plum City.
At 6:20 p.m., a complainant reported a woman in a suspicious vehicle filming his house at N4727 County Road O, Ellsworth. He later called back and said he had spoken with the woman and told her to speak with him before filming.
At 7:10 p.m., deputies spoke to a woman regarding her vehicle left at another’s property, at W4380 270th Ave., Maiden Rock. Both parties were told it’s a civil matter.
During a traffic stop at 11:33 p.m. at 830th Street/Highway 35 in Hager City, deputies searched a vehicle due to a heavy marijuana smell. Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an unpermitted firearm were located. Citations were issued to the driver for speeding, operating without a license and possession of THC. The driver and passenger will have charges referred for possession of a firearm without a permit.
During a traffic stop at 1:18 a.m. at N1639 830th St., Hager City, for loud exhaust, officers saw marijuana in plain view. Citations were issued for possession of THC and operating without a license.
Friday, Aug. 20
A caller reported a missing Super 7R floor edger at 7:27 a.m. at W4665 230th Ave., Maiden Rock. The edger had been taken off a trailer sometime in the past three weeks.
Deputies responded to a car vs. deer crash at 8:35 a.m. at County Road QQ/Highway 10, Prescott. The driver requested to behead the deer and pick up the rest of the body later. Deputies told him he had to take the whole deer, not just the head.
Vandalism was reported at 9:48 a.m. at W12625 Highway 10, Prescott. The complainant said someone drove through his yard and caused damage to a cornfield nearby.
At 10:37 a.m., a complainant reported that a contractor had had a fire on his property without permission at N7536 1126th St., Prescott. The fire had burnt a couple of trees. The caller wanted the incident documented.
Deputies responded at 6:55 p.m. to W7562 Highway 10, Ellsworth, where a man was lying near the road. He told officers he was trying to walk to Rochester after he had been kicked out of a place he was staying. Police gave him a ride to Red Wing.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a domestic incident at 8:05 p.m. at 112 Evergreen Estates St. The suspect had left on a bike.
An anonymous caller reported shooting at 9:27 p.m. near 111 Partridge Ave. Nothing was located.
Saturday, Aug. 21
An explosion was reported at 12:29 a.m. near 790th Street/Highway 29, River Falls. Nothing was found.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 1:36 a.m. in attempting to locate a person at 163 Evergreen Estates St. The person was not located.
Deputies checked on two vehicles parked at 137 E. Main St., Ellsworth, at 2:13 a.m. They were unloading recycling items.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 3:08 a.m. at N1620 County Road VV, Hager City. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
A caller reported her dog ran through barbed wire at 7:15 a.m. at W10594 560th Ave., River Falls, and had a cut. She was given veterinarian information.
A hit and run was reported at 7:56 a.m. at N673 825th St., Hager City. The striking vehicle appeared to be a red Nissan based on vehicle parts found at the scene.
Suspicious people were reported at a business at 10:24 a.m. at W8482 530th Ave., Ellsworth. The people were employees of the cabinet business there.
Vandalism to several vehicles and property was reported at 10:48 a.m. at N7130 50th St., Elmwood.
At 5:22 p.m., while responding to a 911 call, an officer observed a woman on a no drink order riding a horse with an open intoxicant near W4277 County Road G, Ellsworth. She was not located later.
At 5:56 p.m., deputies were called to W10552 Highway 35, Prescott, for a vehicle in the ditch. It was towed to the driver’s residence.
At 7:41 p.m., a person reported several juveniles operating a go-cart on Plum City village streets. A parent was contacted and promised it would not happen again.
At 9:15 p.m., police pulled over a juvenile driver going 82 mph in a 55 zone near 450th Avenue/750th Street, Ellsworth. The parent was notified and instructed the juvenile to drive immediately home.
Sunday, Aug. 22
Deputies assisted Prescott police in looking for a suspect at 1:56 a.m. at 145 Broad St.
Officers located an intoxicated juvenile in a vehicle that was parked in the lane of traffic at 2:09 a.m. at W12508 Highway 35, Prescott. The parents gave the juvenile permission to stay at the residence with an adult.
Police stopped to check on a man walking westbound on Highway 29 in Spring Valley at 6:10 a.m. He was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
A suspicious woman was reported at 6:15 a.m. at N1346 Katie Lane, Bay City. The woman had a warrant and was arrested.
At 11:38 a.m., a caller reported a possibly intoxicated person walked into a church near County Road E/570th Avenue, River Falls, and then left in a vehicle. The vehicle was not located.
At 5:33 p.m., deputies responded to W4002 570th Ave., Ellsworth, for ATVs that damaged property. The parties exchanged information and came up with a solution.
A complainant reported finding a screw in her foot at 9:43 p.m. at W4277 County Road G, Ellsworth. Deputies left the complainant a voicemail.
Monday, Aug. 23
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 2:55 a.m. at 176 W. Main St.
