Aug. 9

A caller requested at extra patrol at 11:57 a.m. near County Road O and 640th Avenue near Ellsworth, due to Highway 29 construction and detours.

At 2:58 p.m., a caller reported his neighbor’s dog coming to his home at N8550 635th St., Prescott, getting into the pool and tearing the pool’s liner. The caller said he would hold the dog at his house until its owner came to get it.

At 7:35 p.m., a caller reported a donkey on the roadway on 390th Avenue, Ellsworth. The donkey’s owner was informed of the escape and told to put the donkey back in its pasture.

At 9:31 p.m., police made contact with a suspicious vehicle pulling into W7740 520th Ave., Ellsworth. The driver was going to her storage unit.

Officers responded at 11:17 p.m. to W8910 570th Ave., Ellsworth, for an animal bite. The animal’s owners received a quarantine order.

At 11:38 p.m., officers responded to 650th Avenue and County Road O, River Falls, to a one-vehicle crash where the driver had already fled the scene. Police located the driver and cited him for failure to keep vehicle under control and failure to notify police of accident.

Aug. 10

Deputies assisted River Falls police at 12:14 a.m. with a domestic incident at 519 Birch St. At 2:03 a.m., police received a trespassing report of people in a tree line to the east of N1582 County Road C, Bay City. No one was located.

At 8:52 a.m., a donkey was found in the yard at W7962 390th Ave., Ellsworth. Police were unable to reach the wandering donkey’s owner, so the donkey was put into an enclosure at the south end of the property.

Deputies received a stolen boat report at 9:04 a.m. from W7193 450th Ave., Ellsworth. The boat was later located by St. Croix County.

At 3:33 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious, newer gray Cadillac in the area of 610th Street and County Road Y, Ellsworth, early in the morning. It left when the caller came close to it.

Deputies responded at 3:49 p.m. to W3651 Highway 35, Maiden Rock, for a suspected burglary. Two people were located inside the residence and arrested.

A caller reported an animal complaint at 6:46 p.m. at W3786 650th Ave., Spring Valley.

A caller reported a missing dog at 7:48 p.m. at W3162 650th Ave., Spring Valley.

At 7:51 p.m., a caller reported a quad on the railroad tracks at 770th Street and Highway 35, Hager City. Police made contact with the driver’s parents at a nearby address. The information was passed onto the rec deputy for citations.

At 8:34 p.m., police received a harassment complaint from N1582 County Road C, Bay City. The caller said her neighbor had been harassing her. The neighbor said they’d never talked to the complainant before.

Aug. 11

At 9:18 a.m., a caller reported several condoms filled with oatmeal placed on property and in a mailbox at N7647 1126th St., Prescott. No property was damaged.

Officers responded to a car vs. semi crash with possible injuries at 9:48 a.m. at County Road QQ/Highway 10, Prescott.

At 10:36 a.m., police received a dog bite complaint at N5861 1242nd St., Prescott.

At 11:51 a.m., police responded to County Road QQ/Highway 10, Prescott, for a two-vehicle crash with road blockage and injuries. Two patients were transported by EMS. A tow company removed the vehicles.

At 12:24 p.m., deputies assisted RF police in searching for suspects in an incident at 523 W. Elm St.

At 4:26 p.m., deputies contacted a subject regarding a possible vehicle theft at W3856 Highway 10, Maiden Rock. Follow up contact will be attempted.

At 4:30 p.m., deputies were called to W3716 Highway 10, Maiden Rock, for a one-vehicle crash with injury. EMS transported one person to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

At 4:45 p.m., police responded to 414 W. Main St., Ellsworth, where a person wearing a blank tank top and claiming to be a lawyer wouldn’t leave when the courthouse was closing.

At 9:24 p.m., a caller reported a slow-driving suspicious vehicle near N6425 1317th St., Prescott. No one was found.

Deputies were called at 9:36 p.m. to the jail where a female refused to leave the shower area and return to the receiving cell.

At 10:15 p.m., a suspicious red and gray vehicle was reported at N8785 1020th St., River Falls. No vehicle was located.

At 11:47 p.m., a goat broke loose at the Pierce County Fair. He was corralled back into his pen.

Aug. 12

At 1:37 a.m., a caller reported a woman lying in the road near 770th Avenue and Highway 65 near River Falls. No one was found.

At 4:14 a.m., police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road with all its doors open and no lights on at N2973 980th St., Hager City. The driver said he was running low on gas an had stopped to fill his tank from a can he had in the car.

At 9:18 a.m., deputies assisted Ellsworth Police and Fire with a gas leak in front of 484 High Point Drive.

At 12:32 p.m., a tree was removed from the roadway at 480th Avenue/County Road O, Ellsworth.

At 4:21 p.m., deputies removed a tree from the roadway at W965 Highway 29, Spring Valley.

Police responded at 4:36 p.m. to W6396 Highway 35, Bay City, for a theft at a business. Evidence was collected.

A broken car window was reported at 4:43 p.m. at the Pierce County Fairgrounds. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

At 7:40 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported at W3860 Highway 10, Maiden Rock. No one was located.

Two lost dogs were reported at 9:27 p.m. at N7035 County Road J, Beldenville.

Aug. 13

At 1:29 a.m., police responded to the Pierce County Fairgrounds for an alarm going off on one of the rides. The staff was able to get it shut off.

At 4:16 a.m., officers were called to N4825 Highway 63, Ellsworth, for a one-vehicle rollover.

At 7:42 a.m., a caller reported his house and vehicles being egged overnight at W6354 610th Ave., Ellsworth.

At 8:42 a.m., a man at W2005 Highway 10, Maiden Rock, called police about the positioning of flaggers in front of his driveway. Police checked the area and the flaggers were in the appropriate locations.

At 9:42 a.m., a caller reported vandalism to a mailbox at N6355 910th St., Ellsworth. Someone had struck fireworks in the mailbox overnight.

At 10:30 p.m., police took a complaint about harassment from neighbors at N1582 County Road C, Bay City. Due to concerns, the report was forwarded to a Child Protective Services worker.

At 12:14 p.m., deputies received a complaint of a neglected horse at the Pierce County Fairgrounds. The owner said the horse has health issues but is being treated regularly by a veterinarian and was cleared to attend the fair.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth Fire at 1:13 p.m. at small barn/shed fire at N3965 Highway 63, Ellsworth.

A theft was reported at 5:11 p.m. at N1231 Wabash St., Bay City.

At 5:52 p.m., police were called to W12643 705th Ave., River Falls, for suspicious activity. A person at the home was identified as a home inspector.

At 8:29 p.m., police attempted to catch up to and pull over a motorcycle going 107 mph near county roads D and EE in Bay City. A woman called police and said a motorcycle had pulled into her driveway, stating he needed a break. Police found the man in the woods and arrested him for operating a motor vehicle without a license and cited him for speeding, passing in a no passing zone and PAC. Charges for reckless endangerment will be referred to the DA’s office.

An animal complaint was received at 8:54 p.m. at W11761 County Road MM, Prescott.

At 9:22 p.m., police received a report of possible juveniles driving down a dead-end road at 130th Avenue and 570th Street, Bay City. It was a driver who didn’t want to hit deer.

At 9:28 p.m., police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked along the side of the road at 620th Street and County Road V, Ellsworth. A married couple was advised to move on from that location.

At 11:53 p.m., a caller reported kids throwing rocks at buildings and cars at W6961 580th Ave., Ellsworth. The suspects were warned.

Aug. 14

At 12:03 a.m. police responded to 109 N. Main St., Elmwood, where a man left with a woman’s purse after a verbal argument. The purse was retrieved and the man told to not contact the woman.

At 2:28 a.m., police were notified of vehicles driving on a field road at W7580 Highway 35, Hager City. Extra patrol will be present.

At 7:24 a.m., a bicyclist lost control and crashed at 830th Street/Highway 35, Hager City. EMS transported them to the hospital.

At 10:13 a.m., police received two calls about a “skinny” paint horse at N6084 County Road O, Ellsworth. Contact was made with the owner and new property owner. The horse is 31 and in good health.

At 4:05 p.m., a caller reported that bird dived into the river at N650 825th St. S., Hager City, and killed itself. The caller was advised to leave the bird in the river.

At 4:26 p.m., a person reported a suspicious carload of people stopping to ask for directions to Green Bay at 770thAvenue/490th Street, Spring Valley. Deputies found the vehicle and gave them the requested directions.

At 8:16 p.m., a fight was reported at the Pierce County Fairgrounds. Both people agreed to stay away from each other.

At 9:34 p.m., a disturbance was reported in the pits at the demolition derby at the Pierce County Fairgrounds. People agreed to leave for the rest of the night.

Aug. 15

Police performed a welfare check at 12:14 a.m. on a man at the fairgrounds who appeared to be suffering from a mental disorder. Options were given to the man’s friend.

An underage party was busted at 1:34 a.m. at N2490 390th St., Maiden Rock, when someone reported several cars going down a dead-end road. One juvenile was cited for marijuana possession.

A person was arrested at 3:38 a.m. at W7836 490th Ave., Ellsworth, for domestic disorderly conduct.

At 11:13 a.m., a bicyclist was injured at W8332 Highway 35, Hager City. The cyclist had a dislocated shoulder and rib pain.

Two missing dogs were reported at 11:56 a.m. at N6553 County Road O, River Falls.

At 1:11 p.m., a caller reported a grain bin being hauled that was taking up both sides of the road at 770th Avenue/ Highway 65, River Falls. The driver was cited for overwidth and warned for the height.

A sinking boat was reported on the St. Croix River at 5:26 p.m. The owners knew there was a hole in the boat and were trying to get it towed.

At 5:52 p.m., police responded to N7652 650th St., Beldenville, for a possible domestic. A person was asked to leave the property.

A vehicle theft was reported at 8:39 p.m. at W11945 757th Ave., River Falls. The vehicle was later located in Maplewood, Minn.

At 9:51 p.m., deputies assisted Prairie Island police with locating “a lost foot” from someone they had pulled over at N1090 825th St., Hager City.
