At 7:45 a.m., police made contact with a suspicious vehicle that parks at N3699 730th St, Hager City, many days at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. The people said they were visiting one another before and after work shifts.

At 8:38 a.m., a vehicle theft was reported at N4444 490th St., Ellsworth.

At 11:23 a.m., a stolen vehicle was reported at N4076 County Road D, Ellsworth.

At 6:55 p.m., a caller requested a welfare check on a man walking along Highway 65 near River Falls. The man had been released from jail and was walking home.

Police stopped three motorcycles for speeding at 9:12 p.m. near 690thAvenue and County Road O, River Falls. One driver had a warrant, paid the bond online and was released.

Aug. 3

At 12:03 a.m., a caller expressed concern that a train may cause a wildfire under current dry conditions, by sparks igniting a fire. The caller was given Burlington Northern – Santa Fe’s phone number.

At 7:56 a.m., police assisted at a medical call at S909 Beltline Road, Spring Valley, at which a man had fallen 20 feet out of a tree.

At 9:07 a.m., deputies were asked to assist at 515 Main St., Plum City, where a man was having a possible seizure. The ambulance transported him before police arrived.

At 1:04 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at 328 Lake St., Prescott, to inform the driver they had lost some oxygen tanks near highways 10 and 61 in Minnesota.

At 1:18 p.m., a caller reported someone continuously speeding in a silver Ford pickup truck on County Road C near Bay City. Police checked the area but didn’t find the vehicle.

At 4:15 p.m., a caller reported her windshield being damaged at 137 E. Center St., Elmwood. The caller believed a company weed trimming caused the damage.

At 10:40 p.m., police received an anonymous tip about a suspicious vehicle parked on a deadend road with people using flashlights, at 1090th Street/840thAvenue, River Falls. The occupants of the vehicle said they were looking for collectable rocks on the gravel road.

Aug. 4

At 7:58 a.m., police stopped a man with an active warrant who was riding a bike near County Road A/Highway 10, Ellsworth. He was arrested for the warrant and possession of methamphetamine.

At 7:04 p.m., deputies located a suspicious vehicle at W3856 Highway 10, Maiden Rock. The people were retrieving property from the residence.

At 7:26 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for traveling 5 mph along the shoulder of the road at Highway 10/390thAvenue near Maiden Rock. The driver was looking for a vehicle part that fell off his kids’ vehicle. The driver was warned for having no motorcycle license.

At 8:48 p.m., deputies assisted River Falls police in locating an assault suspect at 1553 Paulson Road, River Falls.

At 9:55 p.m., police responded to County Road E/Highway 29 for suspicious activity at a construction area. A person was fueling the heavy machinery.

At 10:03 p.m., police N1160 170th St., Maiden Rock, for a domestic disturbance. A man was interviewed and told to leave a woman alone.

At 11:09 p.m., deputies responded to W2889 890th Ave., Baldwin, where someone thought they heard someone outside the door. No one was located.

Aug. 5

At 2:30 a.m., deputies assisted with getting cows back in a pasture at N7445 County Road F, River Falls.

At 7:47 a.m. a caller reported a kids bicycle in the north ditch near Highway 10/390th Avenue, Maiden Rock. Police left the bike there for the time being and agreed to check it later.

At 1:04 p.m., a property owner at W3856 Highway 10, Maiden Rock, requested extra patrol for keeping people off his property.

At 4:04 p.m., a man reported a tipped over umbrella, along with patio table and chairs at W7439 ½ Highway 65, Beldenville. The man wanted it documented in case it wasn’t the wind.

Police responded to N4306 Highway 63, Ellsworth, for an unwanted person. The person was advised to not go back into the bar and was cited for operating a motorcycle without a valid motorcycle license.

Officers responded to a domestic at 7:54 p.m. at W332 Second St., Spring Valley. Statements were taken.

At 8:47 p.m., police received a driving complaint of someone crossing the center line. The vehicle registration identified the owner’s address at N1090 825th St., Hager City. The driver was warned for driving violations.

At 9:18 p.m., police were called to N8203 1015th St., River Falls for a large fire. It as a supervised controlled burn.

Aug. 6

At 4:05 a.m., police performed a welfare check at 108 E. Race Ave. No one came to the door or was observed on the property.

At 8:11 a.m., the highway department was notified of signs that were knocked down at County Road PP/Highway 72, Elmwood, due to weather.

At 12:44 p.m., officers responded to 414 W. Main St., Ellsworth, for a warrant arrest. While a person was being taken into custody, he resisted and back-up was called. The man was arrested for a failure to appear – warrant, resisting and obstructing and misdemeanor bail jumping.

At 3:34 p.m., a person was stung by several bees at County Road W/Highway 29, River Falls. The person refused an ambulance but went to the hospital by private vehicle.

At 7:28 p.m., police responded to N3731 County Road O, Hager City for an intoxicated woman who was possibly going to drive. The woman promised to either stay there or call for a ride.

At 8:14 p.m., deputies assisted Prescott police with a traffic stop at Jefferson and Warran streets.

Police responded at 8:31 p.m. to W5971 130th Ave., Bay City, for suspicious man in front of the address. While police were on the way, the complainant talked to the person, who said he was looking for deer.

At 8:35 p.m., officers attempted to stop a motorcycle for going 129 mph in a 55-mph zone at County Road OO/Highway 35 in Hager City. The motorcycle fled to Minnesota.

Officers were called at 8:40 p.m. to W3856 Highway 10, Maiden Rock, for a possible burglary.

Aug. 7

At 8:03 a.m., police responded to W7858 170th Ave., Hager City for suspicious activity. The complainant said he saw a trailer parked in front of a storage unit for about a week and was worried someone was living there. A female at the storage unit said she was removing items from the storage unit, not living in it. At 11:53 a.m., police removed debris from the roadway at Highway 35/1005th St., Hager City.

At 3:52 p.m., police helped return a cow too a fencing area at N3564 County Road D, Bay City.

A caller reported an injured deer in the woodline at 6:35 p.m. at W5091 450thAve., Ellsworth. The deer had rear broken legs. It was dispatched.

At 10:33 p.m., a complainant reported loud music from N673 825th St., Hager City. The complainant was informed there is no noise ordinance.

At 11:56 p.m., deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 193 E. Main St.

Aug 8

At 12:04 a.m., deputies were asked to check on a man walking down the middle of the road at Highway 63/County Road VV, Hager City. He was not located.

At 2:32 a.m., deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 423 W. Overlook Road, Ellsworth.

At 9:51 a.m., police received a complaint of a dog in a vehicle with the windows rolled up at 124 N. Main St., Elmwood. The dog was taken out of the vehicle and given water. The owner was located and informed charges were going to be forwarded for mistreating animals.

At 10:27 a.m., police received a complaint of a man into traffic on Highway 35 in Bay City in his electric chair. The man was contacted and he was fine.

At 11:15 a.m., police were asked to check W7595 280th Ave., Hager City, for a bus that went missing in Red Wing. The homeowner informed police the people in question no longer lived at that address. No bus was found.

At 12:15 p.m., deputies assisted EMS at W7356 130th Ave., Hager City, with a man possibly having a seizure who was being uncooperative and hearing voices.

Police spoke with a woman at 2:54 p.m. who wanted it documented that a drone had been flying by her and following her near N4220 Highway 63, Ellsworth. She was advised to call back if it happens again when it’s happening.

At 5:30 p.m., police were called to W10218 570th Ave., River Falls, for a disorderly person. People were arguing over a car seat a woman was using. A woman was arrested for a warrant.

Officers stopped a vehicle at 8:35 p.m. at 945th Street/Highway 35, Hager City, for going 97 mph in a 55-mph-zone. An odor of alcohol was detected. Three juveniles were cited for underage drinking. The driver was cited for speeding.
